Katy Perry is quite the conundrum. While she likes to pose in lingerie, like she did for her upcoming cover for Rolling Stone, she is also quite vocal about her religious upbringing. In fact, she's even tweeted about other pop stars using religion as part of their acts. And in the new issue of the music magazine, whose cover was shot by celeb photographer Mark Seliger, the Teenage Dream singer opens up about growing up with minister parents.
In fact, while she appreciates having fiancé Russell Brand in her life, she just can't bring herself to say she feels lucky. Why? “I wasn't ever able to say I was 'lucky' because my mother would rather us say that we were blessed, and she also didn't like that lucky sounded like Lucifer,” she told the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday. “Deviled eggs were called 'angelled' eggs. I wasn't allowed to eat Lucky Charms, but I think that was the sugar. I think my mom lied to me about that one.”
Perry, who has the word “Jesus” tattooed on her wrist, admits that her parents channeled God regularly. “Speaking in tongues is as normal to me as 'Pass the salt.' It's a secret, direct prayer language to God,” she explained, adding that her father is the one who can speak in tongues with her mother acting as translator. “That's their gift,” she said.
Perry is about to release the album Teenage Dream. She recently started debuting tracks from it, and the music video for its next single, “Teenage Dream,” was shot last month in California. On Sunday she will host the Teen Choice Awards alongside the guys from “Glee.”

You don't get saved as Katy Hudson claims by listening to a Queen album. Something is VERY, VERY wrong with Katy Hudson's testimony. By her own testimony, she admits that she has never been saved.
Anna Nicole Smith lived her life in immorality, filth and wickedness; but she wore a cross on her neck oftentimes. I think for Katy Perry to have the name of Jesus tattooed on her body is sacrilegious, especially when she poses naked in her seductive lingerie for tens-of-millions of people to sexually lust upon. It is evil beyond description. Having the name above every other name tattooed on one's wrist does not please God; but rather, the hidden man (or women) of the heart as 1st Peter 3:4 says, “But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.” If Katy Hudson were a Christian who loved Jesus Christ, then she'd put her clothes back on and stop praising lesbianism in her music.
The Bible describes unbelievers like Katy Hudson in Philippians 3:18,19 ... “For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.” I pray for the salvation of Katy Hudson, that she'd listen to the Word of God instead of a QUEEN album, so that she may truly be born-again by the Holy Spirit of God (Romans 8:9).
