Beware Of Oprah's Demonic Views On Power And Purpose

Revelation 4:11, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Oprah Winfrey is a dangerous woman spiritually. For decades Oprah has
been deceiving and leading people into the new age movement. I was
standing in a checkout line the other day and noticed one of Oprah's
magazines with the title, “How To Find Your Purpose In Life.” I
immediately thought about Revelation 4:11, which teaches that God
created ALL THINGS for His pleasure. You and I were
created to please God. Hebrews 11:6 says that only by faith can God be
pleased. Faith is obedience to the Word of God.
Someone recently asked me when and why God created the dinosaurs. The answer is that dinosaurs were created for God's pleasure and they lived prior to the creation of mankind. This is known as an Old Earth view, which is Biblical. Kent Hovind's Creation Science Evangelism and Ken Ham's Answers In Genesis teach a Young Earth heresy.
Oprah has promoted hundreds of heretic authors over the decades, including Gary Zukav recently, who Oprah quotes in her article titled, “What Oprah Knows For Sure About Real Power.” ...
“Gary Zukav writes in The Seat of the Soul, 'When we align our thoughts, emotions, and actions with the highest part of ourselves, we are filled with enthusiasm, purpose, and meaning... When the personality comes fully to serve the energy of its soul, that is authentic empowerment.'”
Oprah follows Gary's false teaching with these words...
“The secret is alignment: when you know for sure that you're on course and doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing, fulfilling your soul's intention, your heart's desire, or whatever you choose to call it (they're all the same thing). When your life is on course with its purpose, you are your most powerful. And you may stumble, but you will not fall.” [emphasis added with white type)
Oprah teaches that the secret to real spiritual power is to fulfill your own heart's desire. What a Satanic lie! My friend, real power comes from serving a real God, by obeying His commandments. Read what the Bible says in Proverbs 14:14...
Proverbs 14:14, “The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.”
In sharp contrast to Oprah's philosophy of doing our own thing, the Bible tells us that the backslider in heart is filled with his own ways. Of course, most people aren't even saved (non-Christian) and have nothing to backslide from. Backsliding is when we walk backwards while still facing God, kidding ourselves that everything is ok. We're not deceiving God; but rather, our self. Every believer backslides at times. Human nature is such that we all have a deceitful heart (Jeremiah 17:9). Behind every tragedy in human character is a slow process of wicked thinking.
The downward spiral into sin begins by taking a few step backwards, while still facing the direction we should be going. People don't just go into sin without there first behind a departure in THE HEART from pleasing God in all that we think, say and do. It always begins IN THE HEART as the Bible teaches, before it escalates TO OUR LIFE. Sin begins in the heart, which is why it is so important that we continually abide in the Scriptures, pray and listen to Bible-preaching. That's why it's important to attend a good church where the pastor preaches the truth without apology nor compromise.
The path to real power is found in the promises of God. 2nd Peter 1:4, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” God's power rests in the PROMISES of God which He has made. If we obey God, then God is bound to keep His promises.
Some promises are conditional, others are unconditional. For example: God's promise never to destroy the earth again by flood is shown in the rainbow. That's an unconditional promise from God. It doesn't matter what we do or don't do, God will never destroy the world by flood again. An example of a conditional promise is found in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Anyone who believes (trusts) in Jesus Christ, the Son of God Who died on the cross, has eternal life. Our part is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and God's part is to give us eternal life. It is through the promises of God that we tap into God's power. I don't believe in the power of prayer; but rather, in the power of God through prayer.
Oprah Winfrey's humanistic teachings are dangerous, leading people to trust in themselves. Humanism is idolatry. Most people serve themselves instead of God. Oprah's philosophies are identical to those of Satanist Aleister Crowley. Crowley's most infamous teaching was, “DO AS THOU WILL SHALL BE THE WHOLE OF THE LAW.” The Bible commands us to fear and obey God. Ecclesiastes 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” This is 100% the opposite of doing our own will.
Oprah's views are not based upon the Scriptures, nor does she care about pleasing the God of the Bible. Our PURPOSE in life according to Revelation 4:11 is to please God. That is why we were made. It is the Lord Who made us and not we ourselves. Psalms 100:3, “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”
If you are a born-again Christian, then you
are one of God's people. Hosea 2:23, “And I will sow her unto me in
the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy;
and I will say to them which were not my people,
Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.”
Galatians 3:29, “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and
heirs according to the promise.”
The Devil's Only Purpose Is to Steal, Kill And Destroy (John 10:10)
The Bible teaches that the Devil's only purpose in our lives is to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10a, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...” In sharp contrast, listen to what the Lord Jesus wants to give us. John 10:10b, “...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus came to give us life, more than abundant. What a contrast! Satan wants to steal our joy and effectiveness for Christ, he wants to kill our children and marriages, and he wants to destroy our homes, churches and lives. Satan's greatest goal is to blind unsaved people, to hinder them from seeing the gospel and getting saved (2nd Corinthians 4:4). But our precious Lord wants to give us eternal life and happiness.
Wherever Satan is welcomed there is only death and misery when all is said and done. With Satan there is fun and pleasure at first, but then death and destruction follow. With the Lord there is suffering at first, being persecuted and enduring afflictions in this life as a Christian, but the end will be sweet happiness and peace for all eternity. I'd rather suffer for my Savior, than enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Hebrews 11:25, “Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” The Devil is a beautiful liar. Jesus always spoke the truth, openly. John 18:20, “Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.”
Satanic cults like Freemasonry, Bohemian Grove, Rosicrucians and Mormonism meet and operate in secret, because their works are evil and Satan is their god. The Lord never had anything to hide. Everything was done out in the open. The Bible may be brutally honest, but it is nonetheless very honest, completely true and open for any individual to read and benefit from. The King James Bible reads at a 5th-grade reading level. You can't even learn about the esoteric higher levels of Freemasonry without joining the occult group and working your way up, slowly gaining enlightenment of the true nature of their organization. Why all the secrecy? Mormonism is VERY secretive, and for bad reason.
We are living in the last days. Everything is getting so bad these days. Same-sex marriage was just legalized in Maine. New York legalized same-sex marriage in July of 2011. At the time Roe v. Wade became federal law, 37 of the individual states had already legalized it. We are seeing the same pattern today with homosexuality. Since 2004, nine states—Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Washington—as well as the District of Columbia and two Native American tribes—have legalized same-sex marriage. Soon the U.S. Supreme Court will legalize same-sex marriage, likely at the same time that the perverted movie LIBERACE (starring Matt Damon and Michael Douglas French-kissing) goes public. If not, soon thereafter I believe.
It's inevitable that same-sex marriage will be legalized nationwide. This is the same court system that legalizes indecency, killing Terri Schiavo, booze, divorce, casino gambling, smut magazines, police tyranny, cruel and unusual punishment, banning the Ten Commandments and every other evil imaginable. Homosexuality is so disgusting. Television is trying to make same-sex marriage look good by showing two attractive young men, in a nice place, saying nice things. It's evil.
I recently stopped in a California Subs restaurant and on the flat-panel TV they had Nickelodeon playing. A teen boy walked into a room and brought flowers for the other boy, clearly implying that they were homosexuals. Where will this wickedness lead America in 10-years if the Lord tarries His return?
I heard in the news today that Ney Yorkers were offering sex in exchange for a can of gasoline during tropical storm Sandy. The sad truth is that many people will sell themselves these days for a sandwich or fuel for their car. Morality is becoming a thing of the past. What can we expect in a nation that bans the Bible from It's classrooms? Perilous times are here (2nd Timothy 3:1-5). The word perilous in 2nd Timothy 3:1 means hard or difficult to endure. It is becoming increasingly difficult to endure this crazy world today. Despite all the euphoric reelection rhetoric by President Obama in November of 2012, you can in reality expect another 4-years of moral decadence, Wall Street theft, congressional irresponsibility, massive lying, blatant crimes, war, economic depression, tyranny and government takeover by the banksters. The circus has just begun. You won't recognize America in 20 more years! I don't recognize her today.

Do you think God is going to honor and bless a wicked nation that
embraces wickedness and forgets the Bible? No way! Most people today are
bought and paid for by Satan.
The Power Of God To Be Saved Is The Gospel
Some of my favorite e-mails have come from people who at one time hated me and despised my online ministry. The truth offended them. One man said my website literally made him depressed. But then the truth prevailed and God's Holy Spirit convicted them, bring those people to the glorious saving power of the gospel. Let me tell you my friend, there is no power in this world as beautiful as the power of the gospel. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes on Jesus Christ. John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” As Jonah pondered in the belly of the whale in Jonah 2:9... SALVATION IS OF THE LORD.
There is no power apart from the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't buy into Oprah Winfrey's new age garbage about power and purpose, which she says all come from within yourself. Our PURPOSE in life is to please God, and God is pleased BY FAITH. We were made by Jesus, Who became incarnate (flesh), the Godhead in human form (John 1:1-3,14; 1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9 - King James Bible). Our divine purpose from God is to please Him (Revelation 4:11).
Oprah talks about alignment, that is, aligning our thoughts, emotions and actions to fully empower ourselves. In sharp contrast, Jesus told us to align ourselves with the Scriptures. We are supposed to have the mind of Christ, which can only come from searching the Scriptures (John 5:39). God wants us to do as Christ did and live for OTHERS. Philippians 2:4-5, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Oprah's philosophies focus on SELF, but the Bible focuses on OTHERS.
Psalms 148:5, “Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.” We came from God (Jeremiah 1:5), we are here for God (Revelation 4:11) and we are returning to God when we die (Ecclesiastes 12:7). The Bible never directs us to seek power; but rather, wisdom and understanding. Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” The fear of God is wisdom and to forsake evil is understanding. Job 28:28, “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” God saves us so we won't live the way we used to. Romans 8:29, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Notice in Romans 8:29 that the Bible does NOT say that God predestinates us to salvation; but rather, to be conformed into the image of Christ. God wants us to be holy as He is holy.
This is quite different from the false Lordship Salvation lie, which says you have to stop living in sin to be saved. They've got it backwards. God saves us and then commands us not to live the way that we used to (that is, in deliberate sin). If we do continue in sin, we are still saved, but God disciplines (chastises and scourges) us according to Hebrews 12:6-8. No one has God's permission to sin. God doesn't play favorites (Romans 2:11). Everyone is judged the same, that is, by the Word of God. John 12:48, “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
Beware of anyone who speaks of power who
never mentions the Bible, the gospel or the Holy Spirit of God. Any
other spiritual power is demonic in origin. Hebrews 4:12, “For
the word of God is quick,
and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of
the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart.” Beware of Oprah's self-worship teachings which attempt
to empower people without faith in God nor obedience to the Word of God.
Jeremiah 17:5, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth
in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the
LORD.”
Final Words
Oprah Winfrey is the blind leading the blind. She's leading millions of people into the fires of Hell. Our purpose in life is to “serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear” (Hebrews 12:28).
Of course, the first thing that God requires of anyone is that we get saved, that is, believe the gospel (Christ died, was buried and resurrected). Anyone who acknowledges their guilt of sin and receives the gospel as full payment for their sins is born-again). It's that simple. Jesus' shed His precious blood to pay for our sins (1st Peter 1:18-19). That is our hope for Heaven. Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God? Have you placed your trust in the Lord? I have, and my faith was counted for righteousness, that is, Christ took my sins upon Himself and placed His righteousness upon me by faith (Romans 4:5-6; 2nd Corinthians 5:21). I am God's child forevermore. Thank you Lord!
Don't listen to Oprah Winfrey. Instead, SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES as Jesus commanded. John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”
