There Are Scary Monsters In The Bob Jones Camp
(I sincerely wonder if any of them truly know what it means to know God's love)

by David J. Stewart | May 2021

I am so disgusted with the hateful Bob Jones University crowd, really, it is sickening. You know, even animals know what love is. They know when someone loves them (unless it's a hungry mama bear looking for food for her babies, then you'll probably be dinner). I have several stray dogs in my neighbourhood. They know that I love them—not just because I feed them, but because I often rub their necks, scratch behind their ears and connect with them as creature to creature. They literally wait for me, so that when I get home and open the door on my vehicle, they greet me, jump up and put their paws on me, and express love for me.

Now compare that to the loveless bastards at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, who despite my love, generosity and umpteen offers to make peace with them, piss on me. You can't blame a guy for being pissed off, after being pissed on by a Baptist church for seven years. They have the problem, not me. I believe there is just one Gospel (free grace) and one Holy Bible (the inspired King James Bible), but they accept multiple plans of salvation (free grace, Lordship Salvation, Misunderstood Repentance) and use umpteen Bible versions (NIV, ESV, ERV, KJB, NASV, NKJV, et cetera). Whose insane? Is there not just one Savior? (1st Timothy 2:5). Is there not one God? (Deuteronomy 6:4). So how did we end up with hundreds of Bible revisions and multiple plans of salvation? Can you say, “Satan?” 'Com on Harvest Baptist Church on Guam say it, “We love helping Satan!” Those fools sure do, and don't even realize it.

I sometimes come into my home and cry, after seeing how those stray dogs respond to the love that I give them. It is amazing. I am always reminded of God's wondrous love for me, and how much I love the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and wish they could see my heart. I am not a hateful person, but I do know how to get people's attention. I'm not an expert on all animals, but I suspect that every living creature if loved from birth knows what love is. I don't expect animals in the wild to be loving. I hate bears, they scare me. Anything that can eat me scares me! But I have seen grown men share a loving bond with giant bears, raised domestically, that is nothing short of amazing. As I wept and was thinking today (after loving a bit on my stray animal friends who kindly greeted me when I came home), thinking how sad it is that I treat those stray dogs MUCH BETTER than Harvest Baptist Church treats me (like garbage), I was compelled to write this article. Yes, Harvest treats me like garbage, because they are garbage spiritually!

I was saddened as I thought about the raped female student at Bob Jones University. She was raped in 2019, after accepting an invitation to a party at a different local college. Allegedly she had been drinking from the news article. Bob Jones University, where she was a student, expelled her to my understanding for drinking alcohol. The poor girl was raped! What is wrong with Dr. Steve Pettit? What a monster! In my opinion, he is no better than the punk who raped her! She got raped twice, once by the spineless male at Furman, and then by BJU. Where dwelleth the love of God? Really? Is that how you would treat a girl who had been raped if she attended your school? No wonder she is suing BJU! They are making her a victim twice. I am so sick of the hatred, lack of compassion, self righteous arrogance and sinfully proud looks of the snobby Bob Jones crowd! If you hang around God like I do, you'll hate the things God hates too! Proverb 8:13, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”

If I were in charge of BJU, I would have first profusely apologized for what happened to her, even if she made some poor choices that contributed to it. Second, I would kindly explain to the girl that she broke the rules, and therefore she needs to be expelled for 6 months for violating the agreement she signed when she enrolled. However, thirdly, I would shew mercy and explain that if she decides to come back, she will get free tuition for her entire college degree, at no cost whatsoever to her. But you say, “Why reward her for breaking the rules?” You're not, you're expelling her for 6 months, so she can think about what she did. But she was raped! So you're easing her pain, showing her God's love, giving her a second chance, and doing what Christ Himself did when He forgave the sinful woman in John chapter 8. But no, not at Bob Jones University... YOU'RE OUT GIRL, YOU'RE EXPELLED, YOU ARE DONE!!! Steve Pettit is a scary monster!!!

When I attended Harvest Baptist Church for one year, I fell in love with their nurse, Kris. I have never stopped loving her, but her thug pastor, Marty Herron decided to play God, making the decision that he didn't want me and Kris together. I hope someday that God turns the tables on Marty Herron, letting him see what true loneliness feels like. I pray for it! That man is a devil. No one has a right to play God with other people's lives. Kris liked me, and I liked her, and one simple bit of encouragement from her pastor would have made all the difference. Instead, her corrupt ungodly pastors were arrogant and proud, defensive of their false gospel and fake Bibles. They were unwilling to allow, God forbid, a TRUTH-TELLER into their cult (they made Harvest a cult). I can't wait to see Marty Herron hear the words from Jesus Himself someday: “DEPART FROM ME YE THAT WORK INIQUITY: I NEVER KNEW YOU!” (Matthew 7:23-23). Kris will never find anyone like me, who loves her more than I do. And then I fell in love with Abby, but she is younger too like Kris, and naive as can be, brainwashed by a damned religious cult. Kris is a fool, following a damned Lordship Salvation cult at Bob Jones (where she graduated), allowing incompetent selfish pastors to make her decisions for her. I suppose God was protecting me from them all. God curses those who mess with grace, yet the Bob Jones crowd flaunt their counterfeit gospel as if truth means absolutely nothing. WOE UNTO THE WICKED!!!

Here's another real life shameful example of how Bob Jones University absolutely has no idea what it means to love hurting people. Wayne Mouritzen, a 60-year-old Bob Jones graduate and retired minister, who late in life claimed to be a homosexuality, got a letter from BJU. Written by the Bob Jones' dean of students, it said:

“With grief we must tell you that as long as you are living as a homosexual, you, of course, would not be welcome on the campus and would be arrested for trespassing if you did visit.”SOURCE

I admire their depth of perception at Bob Jones University. I am kidding of course. That is the wrong way to handle someone who is clearly hurting. Hurting people hurt people! Anyone with an ounce of spiritual discernment can see that Wayne is a hurting man. A lifelong minister doesn't just become a homosexual. I am not saying that he is right with God. I am not saying that I am okay with homosexuality, God forbid. But threatening a human being with arrest if they step foot on BJU campus for claiming to be a homosexual, let alone threatening one of their own graduates, is not God's love for people. Everyone knows that BJU stands against homosexuality, so why threaten people? Why threaten graduates? Is that really necessary? No, no it's not, it is childish and just promotes more hatred. Monsters are real folks!

If I were in charge at BJU, in response to his letter, I would have sent Wayne Mouritzen a gift fruit basket or something nice to express God's love. I wouldn't have mentioned his sins. I would have thanked him for his decision many years earlier to attend Bob Jones University. I would have let him know that I am praying for him, and don't judge him. Even Jesus said He didn't come to condemn anyone. John 3:17, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 8:11, “When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” I've noticed that the Lordship Salvation crowd tend to be very judgmental, quick to expel students and excommunicate church members (like the man who divorced his wife at Harvest and Pastor Herron kicked him out). Who is going to kick Marty Herron out for preaching another gospel, spreading corruptible seed, preaching misunderstood repentance, and bidding Godspeed to false teachers who preach doctrines of devils? God will burn him in Hell (Matthew 7:21-23). Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but NO ONE has a right to their own facts. The fact of the matter is that you cannot show me one place in the King James Bible where it teaches to “turn away from your sin” to be saved.

To a mouse a cat is a monster. And to a hurting broken sinner like me, who is rejected and ostracized by the local Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, makes them appear as a monster in my eyes. What have I done except TELL THE TRUTH? Pastor Marty Herron is a cruel monster! Pastor Gary Walton is a heartless and uncaring monster! Harvest's associate pastors are all cowards and cruel men, deceived by the Devil concerning the perversion of Lordship Salvation, deceived concerning the corrupt Westcott and Hort Bibles and deceived concerning the true Bible meaning of repentance (which is a change of mind, and NOT turning away from your sins, which is IMPOSSIBLE to do). They all sinfully bid Godspeed to evildoers like Steve Pettit and John MacArthur, who pervert the Gospel of free grace, preaching another gospel of partial faith in Christ PLUS turning away from sinful bad habits to be saved. That is NOT God's simple plan of salvation. Look at this frightening theological garbage that Dr. Steve Pettit preaches!!!

“The pastors have destroyed the churches, and they've been trained by people that have never built churches, and they have no compassion.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “Many Pastors Have Destroyed My Vineyard

To the unsaved person, Lordship Salvation is a monster in disguise! To the lost man and unlearned believer, the Devil's modern Bible perversions are monsters in disguise. Yes folks, monsters are real!!! I have my faults, but I love people. I have NEVER once failed to wave, smile and express God's genuine love for everyone at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, while their cowardly pastors and staff dodge into their vehicles, dash away down a store aisle, and pretend they don't see me walking at Asan Beach Park. I went to the Chamorro Village, which have a big fiesta every Wednesday night. I heard people from Harvest saying, “That's him!” I'm a popular man at Harvest...lol. I feel like Spider Man. Editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle, Jonah Jameson, said: “Spider-Man!" He doesn't wanna be famous? Then I'll make him infamous!” I've tried for seven long years to be friends with Harvest, as popular as I am, but they have made me INFAMOUS!!!

Thanks Harvest! My ministry is more popular than ever, as the villain who won't shut up about Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and Bob Jones University! Hey, “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” I borrowed that quote from Harvey Dent in 'Batman: The Dark Knight.' I guess I'm a superhero in some respects. Did Spider Man or Batman ever lead anybody to Jesus? Uh, no! By God's grace, He has used a sinful worm like me to win thousands of sinners to Jesus through the preaching of a free grace Gospel. That is the greatest thing any superhero could ever do to rescue another human being, to deliver their soul and body from eternity in Hell. 2nd Corinthians 5:20, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” Thank you for reading.
