People Want To Live Like The World,
But Still Enjoy The Blessings Of God

By David J. Stewart | June 2018

Isaiah 1:4, “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. ”

I receive many letters from people whose families are in shambles, and their personal lives are messed up, and they can't figure out what to do, and want my advice.

I always begin by telling them to start reading (or listening) to the inspired Word of God. That is, the King James Bible in English. Without the Word of God there is no peace, no remedy, nor truth!

The second thing I tell them is to start listening to lots of Bible-preaching. Preaching helps us think right! Right thinking leads to right living. I have people who write to me over time, ranting in desperation about all their ongoing problems—mistreating each other, bickering, husbands committing adultery, family feuding, children out of control, meddling in-laws, combative troublesome wives, and all manner of a form of hell on earth—Yet, they would rather endure through another day with the plague of frogs, than to obey God and get into a local Bible-believing church!!!

So sometimes I have to use tough love and rebuke them in the Lord, kindly. If I don't, they dump on me with their problems and use me as a form of relief from the insane world they've created. Nobody's life suddenly becomes a moral mess! The roof may literally cave in on your house if a tree falls over in a high wind. Or a car may come smashing through your living room wall while you're watching television. Or an airplane could have problems in the air and debris come crashing down through your roof. Yes, millions of bad things could happen, acts of God and manmade disasters alike. However, no one's marriage falls apart in an instant.

And thirdly, they need to get involved in a local New Testament church, which is the last thing most of them want to hear. May I say, the Church on its worst day is better than the world on its best day!

We all need Bible-preaching! Preaching helps us think right. Preaching teaches us how to live. Preaching is truth set on fire. Not all teaching is preaching, but all preaching teaches! Right thinking produces right living!!! That is why attending a good Bible-believing church is so important, so that we can receive weekly preaching from the Word of God. But you don't have to go to church to benefit from hearing great preaching, thanks to modern technology. The internet is a great source of Bible-preaching; and conversely, it is also a woeful source of gross theological incompetence and satanic heresy! We must be careful, but this is true even of attending the churches. Many pastors are not qualified to lead God's flock. There are even atheist, women and homosexual pastors nowadays! So be careful whom you submit yourself to doctrinally. Always consult the Holy Scriptures to verify everything that you read, think and hear. Romans 3:4a, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar...”

And also, we need Christian fellowship. We ought not want fellowship with the ungodly world; but we do need the love, encouragement and comfort that can only come from fellow believers who are (RIGHT WITH GOD) in the Lord. A church that only selectively cares about people is a disgrace to the name of Jesus! The “Us four and no more!” attitude of the Bob Jones clique of Guam is of the Devil. I am not a welcome part of their little neo-evangelical clique at Harvest Baptist Church, so I am outcast and shunned away like Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer. I would rather be outside the gate with Jesus, than to be accepted by a selfish group of religious snobs!

“'The Battle Of The Ages' is seed verses seed—God's seed verses Satan's seed—God's Word verses Satan's word—but Satan's word is always a changing or paraphrasing of God's Word. So we have a battle going on between incorruptible seed and corruptible seed, or EVERY WORD of God verses the thought inspiration and other translations or versions if you please!”

The reason why people today, especially our youth, are so messed up is simply because THEY DON'T THINK RIGHT. That is, they don't agree with God's Word. Instead of having a thankful spirit toward a good Creator, glorifying our great God; they have a selfish attitude of bitterness, resentment and ingratitude toward God. Romans 1:28, “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.”

I guarantee you that in the families that are falling apart, they sit in front of a television most of the time, watching all unholy manner of violence, sexual filth, blasphemy against God, humanism, cursing, potty humor, promiscuity and evil. And then they spend the rest of their time messing with gadgets; such as, cellphones, video games, internet social networking, guitars, et cetera. They never read or listen to God's Word (i.e., King James Bible). They don't spend time together as a family playing board-games, don't eat together at a dinner table, don't grow together. They don't go to church. The church don't go to Sunday School. What do you expect? of course your family is going to be dysfunctional.

I am not narrowing anybody out, so if you think I'm writing about you, that is not my intent. I am writing this article to help EVERYONE. We all need a church family. It is tragic that our churches are so messed up today, that many believers cannot find a church family to embrace them. I know that pain of being rejected by local churches, for my King James Bible position. But that blood is on their hands, not mine, because I am telling THE TRUTH!

Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

“Nothing in my future can ever affect the salvation that I have... Once you trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are eternally secure!” —Pastor Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008), a quote from the classic MP3 sermon titled, “How Permanent Is Your Salvation?

“Salvation is based upon purely what Jesus Christ has done. And if you've trusted Jesus Christ here, you're saved forever! Nothing in your life, nothing in your death, angels, principalities, nothing—nothing in your future—could ever undo that relationship that has been made when you trusted Jesus Christ as Savior. And there are many people who are confused over this whole thing.”
—Pastor Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008), a quote from the classic MP3 sermon titled, “How Permanent Is Your Salvation?”

“There are many people who name the name of Jesus Christ, who are not saved, because they're trusting in living the Christian life, or in their works, or in some efforts that they're doing, in order to obtain their salvation.”
—Pastor Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008), a quote from the classic MP3 sermon titled, “How Permanent Is Your Salvation?
