Cool CSS Code To Blur Any Image

by David J. Stewart | January 2022

Psalms 27:13, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”

I am learning to design websites with CSS code. It is so much fun! On this page I am demonstrating a little nifty code I found that converts any image, or all images, into grayscale, giving it an old-fashioned look. Pretty neat, huh? Good is so more than amazing!!!

NASA finally launched their James Webb Telescope. I had waited with great enthusiasm for years, awaiting the final launch. But the launch kept getting delayed, and delayed, and delayed, for 10 long grueling years. Considering that the telescope cost the government $10,000,000,000 I can understand why they were so careful and hesitant.

But now success! The James Webb Telescope was successfully launched on December 24th, the day before Christmas in 2021. I didn't even find out about it until January, when the telescope was first opening it's 18 gold mirrors and 126 small motors. If even one failed the whole mission would become a catastrophic failure!

NASA said that it will require a few months to align all the mirrors perfectly, and we can expect the first images back from outerspace sometime this summer in 2022. I can't wait. Show me now! Okay, I'll wait.

In a moment I will show you some random images I selected, to show them to you blurred, as is my photo above. I used CSS code to obtain this effect. I can make the image as blurry as I want.

I couldn't help but think about how these blurred images, so well illustrate the eternal damage and gross theological incompetence of pastors everywhere today, who embellish the Biblical true meaning of repentance, faith and the Gospel. For example: Mormon Elder Theodore M. Burton says this about Bible repentance: “The meaning of repentance is not that people be punished, but rather that they change their lives so that God can help them escape eternal punishment and enter into his rest with joy and rejoicing.” Change their lives? That is the Devil speaking! That is not what repentance means in the inspired King James Bible, not even close!!!

The only way to escape eternal punishment in Hell is to have our sins washed away by the precious blood of Jesus. Revelation 1:5, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” You don't have to be good to enter into Heaven, you have to be 100% perfect! Since no one is perfect, we need for God to cloth us in His own righteousness, which is by faith in Jesus. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” Repenting of your sin to be saved is keeping the law! We don't get saved that way.

Lest you think that only cults like Mormonism are wrong on repentance (and thus salvation), consider that Pensacola Christian College (PCC) has also become a dangerous cult today. On July 14th, 2021, I sat and watched and heard the shameful pastors of PCC's Campus Church teach that, and I quote: “Repentance is a change of mind which results in a change of behavior.” BLASPHEMY!!! Senior Pastor Jeff Redlin told me that he fully agrees with that heretical statement, which makes him a false prophet! Folks, the Bible meaning of the Greek noun “repent” (metanoia) simply means: “a change of mind,” nothing less or more!

Repentance is a change of mind unto the Gospel itself, from unbelief to belief. The only thing that can keep a person out of Heaven is the sin of UNBELIEF. So the only thing you need to do to get to Heaven is to BELIEVE (Acts 16:30-31; John 6:28-29). By PCC errantly teaching that a change of behavior will follow true repentance unto life, PCC's incompetent pastors are espousing Mormon theology (as I just showed you)! PCC's bad pastors are instilling worry and fear into people, making them doubt their salvation because of the sinful bad habits in their life (which we all have). Salvation is of the Lord. We are saved by GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS alone (Philippians 3:9), and not by our best performance (Romans 3:19-20).

Here are some illustrations of the blurry plan of salvation being preached today at Pensacola Christian College (PCC)...

Here is the simple code to make all images blurry. You can also change just one image by using unique descriptors in both the head and body sections of your web page (e.g., img2, img3, img4, et cetera). It is real interesting if you change the 5px setting to 1px, 9px, or whatever you'd like, changing the look of your photos...

<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<style>
img {
-webkit-filter: grayscale(100%); /* Safari 6.0 - 9.0 */
filter: blur(5px);
}
</style>
</head>
<body>

<img src="yourimagenamegoeshere.jpg" alt="yourimagenamegoeshere" width="300" height="300">

</body>

These web design codes are simple to use, if you understand how to use HTML code to make a webpage. I use Microsoft's Expression Web 4 (version 4.0.1460.0), which you can download and use for free (no registration is required). This trial version comes with CSS functionality, but some of the earlier versions don't. So this is the download you want, which is fully functional. I make no guarantees though if your computer blows up! It's works fine on my laptop with Windows 10. The download is 98.7 MB. You don't have to use this program though, there are dozens of web design programs now available, some for purchase and others for free.

Praise the Lord for His excellent goodness!!!
