Satan Is The Author Of Confusion
By David J. Stewart
Here, believe it or not, are the abbreviations for just SOME of the English Bible versions for sale on the market today. For example: the NIV is the New International Version, seen in the following list.
Good night in the morning! That's a lot of Bible versions. According to the American Bible Society (ABS), there are approximately 900 different English Bible versions. . . .SUM OUT TIM ABP INT HEB PAR WRD PEO KJS CHI FUL SPL BAR CAL CLA DAR GIL GSB GUZ JFB KAD KJT MHC MHW SCO TSK WES NIV NLT ESV NAS GWT KJV ASV DRB ERV WEB WLC WLV WLO WLT BHS BHO BHT ALE PAL SEP SPU SPT VUL AKJ BBE DBY KJP OJB WBS NIV NLT ESV NAS GWT KJV ASV DRB ERV WEB WLC WLV WLO WLT BHS BHO BHT ALE PAL SEP SPU SPT VUL AKJ BBE DBY KJP OJB WBS YLT
Dear reader, God almighty only wrote ONE BOOK, not 39, not 900! In any particular language there can only be one true Bible translation. Common sense tells us that there cannot be hundreds of different English Bible revisions. In fact, there cannot be two, since God only authored one inspired Holy Bible. I reject the Satanic idea that you should find a Bible that best fits your personality. No Sir! No ma'am! You just read the Bible as God authored it, like it or lump it!I am afraid no one can give you an exact number for the English translations and paraphrases of the Bible printed since Tyndale's New Testament of 1526. In part this is due to the difficulty of determining what should be defined as a new translation as opposed to a correction or a revision of an existing translation. There is the additional question of how we should count translations that include not a complete Bible or Testament, but just a group of books or even a single book. And then, of course, there is the difficulty of sheer numbers. With all these caveats in mind, the number of printed English translations and paraphrases of the Bible, whether complete or not, is about 900. [emphasis added]
