Seeing Invisible Things
By David J. Stewart
Romans 1:20, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."
One of my favorite Scriptures in the Bible is Romans 1:20. What a powerful, precious and enlightening Bible verse! According to Romans 1:20, no human being will have any valid excuse on Judgment Day if they die in their sins without Christ and end up in the Lake of Fire forever and ever.
We hear much talk these days on television, from the internet, during conversations, found in books and everywhere we go in society about the uncertainties of the afterlife. Is there an afterlife? What happens at death and beyond? I hear much skepticism from people. Romans 1:20 plainly teaches that it is possible to see “INVISIBLE THINGS.” That is an amazing truth! The Bible says that the INVISIBLE THINGS of God are “clearly seen” by the things which are made, even His eternal power and Godhead.
Psalm 19:1-3 sheds some light on the meaning of Romans 1:20...
Psalm 19:1-3, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”
Scripturally, all the evidence required to prove the existence of God and His omnipotent power is right in front of our eyes as we behold nature—the majestic mountains, the might of a hurricane, the charge of a lightning bolt, the vastness of the universe, the beauty of a flower, the brilliance of science, the mystery of time, the incredible human body, the abundance of so many wonderful fruits and vegetables, the miracle of life, the gift of forgiveness, the love of God.
Near Death Experiences and Communication with the Dead
Hollywood legend, Clint Eastwood, recently directed a controversial movie called HEREAFTER, which became an international sensation. Clint Eastwood Embraces New Age, Rejects Jesus Christ (says he likes Buddhism). The movie has brought much money to the psychic community, from sincere people who have lost loved ones to death and are lonely, missing them and wanting to communicate with them. You'd be surprised how many people do believe in the ability to communicate with their dead loved ones. Movies like THE SIXTH SENSE and HEREAFTER have led many people to believe in psychics. Of course, such communication is IMPOSSIBLE. The cursed Catholic Church has been lying to people for centuries, convincing them that they can pray and pay for their dead loved ones to escape purgatory in eternity. Biblically there is no such place as purgatory!
Once a person dies, their eternal destination is sealed eternally. There are no SECOND CHANCES after genuine death. Thousands of people have been pronounced clinically dead and then revived, even days later, with bizarre and strange stories to tell. These are called Near Death Experiences (NDE's). Is there any truth to these stories? Since we do not know, we should NOT place any weight upon them. It is dangerous to place any importance upon what those who have had NDE's have to say, because it is their word against that of the living and the Word of God. Jesus told us to search the Scriptures in John 5:39. Jesus didn't tell us to ask information from those who claim to have died and come back.
The heathen world today doesn't want to believe the Bible. Instead they spend money to buy all sorts of bizarre books written by men and women who've had religious or spiritual experiences. Instead they watch weirdoes like Oprah Winfrey (who thinks if your little girl wants to grow up to be a boy, let her). Oprah also invites all sorts of occultists, spiritists, New Agers and people who've had NDE's onto her show. But you'll never see a red-hot, Biblical, truth-telling preacher on Oprah's show!!! Satan's followers own and control the television networks. You either believe that the Bible is God's inspired (God breathed) Words or you don't. I believe that the King James Bible is God's Word.
All that matters in life is what the Bible teaches. God only holds us accountable for how we respond to His Words, that is, what we do with the Bible. I don't care what somebody who claims to have died, allegedly seen, and then comes back to sell a book to tell us about. I know that Hell has real fire. I know that Heaven is a literal place and has a street of gold and 12 gates of pearl. I know that Jesus is bodily in Heaven. I know that Hell is a literal place of torment. I don't need to hear it from someone who claims to have seen white lights, darkness, or green monsters with fangs.
Personally, I don't place any weight upon anything such people have to say, and I don't believe any of it. Most of the stories are far from anything the Bible teaches. I think many of those people do experience something, but so do I when I go to sleep on a full stomach... nightmares and dreams alike! Many people have seen strange things while high on drugs. The point being is this, obey the Bible and forget what people have to say. God has a perfect batting-average!
I read the story of a man who was murdered by the KGB in an auto-attack and was in the morgue for 3 days. As the mortician made an incision 3-days later, George Rodonaia came back to life. There are umpteen websites devoted to these sort of stories, and no doubt many of those people are sincere in what they've experienced; but regardless, the Bible does not direct us to take advice from people who've allegedly come back from the dead (clinically revived). I believe that many people are pronounced dead and then moments or days later are revived, simply because it wasn't God's appointed time for them to die (Hebrews 9:27).
There are people who've jumped from tall buildings to kill themselves and survived the fall to tell about it, while others drop dead from the smell of lobster from an allergic reaction. When it's our time to go, that's it. No one can keep you alive when God says it's time; and no one can kill you until God says it's time. God determines who, how, where and when death comes. It may be within God's permissive will that a drunk driver pulls into your lane and kills you or a loved one; but nothing can happen without God's approval. This is why many people get angry and bitter against God; but we ought to trust God IN ALL THINGS, for he knows best as our heavenly Father.
God Has Concealed His Times And Ways
I recently read a fascinating Scripture in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” The word “world” means something totally different than what it seems. The Hebrew word is olam olam and means “concealed, that is, vanishing point.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 literally means that God has His own beautiful time for everything, but He has concealed those times from us, so that we cannot know the beginning nor the end. In other words, God's time is not our time. God has a right to be clandestine.
The Bible says that God deliberately led the Israelites into the horrible desert Wilderness, so that He could test them and reward them in the end if they kept His Commandments...
Deuteronomy 8:14-16, “Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end.”
Unfortunately they DIDN'T keep God's Commandments and many of them died in the Wilderness in unbelief and went to Hell (Hebrews 4:2). God tested Job in similar, but noticeably different ways. Job kept God's Commandments and the Lord greatly blessed Job in the end. Many Christians have been fed to hungry lions throughout history, or boiled in human-sized frying pans with hot oil. We don't know God's will. Our part is to pray for God's will to be done. Our part is to trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey.
We cannot figure out God's time and plan for our life. You may pray for life to get better, but things will get worse; yet God knows what He is doing. You may serve the Lord faithfully and think God will bless you with financial blessing, but then you lose your job and home. Often, nothing in life will ever make sense; but if you are a Christian who trusts God, then you know that the Bible teaches for us to pray and trust the Lord, Who has promised to direct our paths if we acknowledge Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-7).
We all need to learn as Christians that God's timing is often not our timing, nor His ways our ways. Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” God can take the lemons in our life and make lemonade.
The important thing is to not gauge our life upon circumstances; but rather, walk with God (the Lord), pray about everything, abide in the Scriptures, do good, depart from evil, keep sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, allow the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life through us. If we love God and love our neighbor as our self, then everything will fall into place (Matthew 22:37-40).
When everything seemed to be going wrong in the Book of Esther, God's Spirit was working behind the scenes. The important thing is that we use the spiritual weapons mentioned in Ephesians 6:12-18. The biggest mistake we can make as Christians is not to pray because we don't see visible results to our prayers. God works in unseen ways, to rest out faith. It is standard procedure for God to work in ways unseen. We find evidence of this in Romans 1:20, where God says His eternal power and Godhead are INVISIBLE, yet clearly seen by the things which are made. We can see the spiritual battle in this world between good and evil. So let us pray and trust God to work behind the scenes.
You'll DIE IN YOUR SINS or Else DIE IN THE LORD
When you die, it's Heaven or Hell. You either DIE IN YOUR SINS without Jesus Christ (John 8:24); or else you DIE IN THE LORD, having trusted Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God to forgive your sins (Revelation 14:13). Acts 4:10-12 teaches that there is NO SALVATION in any other name than the precious name of Jesus. Christ Himself bore witness to the truth that only through Him can any person come to the Father (John 14:6).
Romans 1:20 speaks volumes...
Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
Despite all the cynicism, criticism, humanism, skepticism and unbelief in the world today, the Bible is clear in Romans 1:20 that THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE!!!
if you want to see all the invisible things of God, just open your eyes to the truth. No honest scientist can research the awesomeness of creation and not believe in a divine Creator. No honest astronomer can study the night sky, or view the hundreds-of-millions of galaxies through the amazing Hubble Space Telescope, and not believe in a divine Creator Who is all-powerful (omnipotent). No honest doctor can study the human body in medical school and fail to glorify the God Who formed man into existence with His own loving hands from the dust of the earth.
No honest architect can design a grand structure and not recognize the grand design of God in our incredible earth and universe. Only a sin-loving wicked person with an ungrateful heart of unbelief would dare deny God's existence, or challenge the goodness of God almighty. God is a good God, omnipotent, and His greatness is UNSEARCHABLE!!!
Psalm 145:3, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”
One of the most amazing Scriptures in the Bible is Luke 6:35...
Luke 6:35, “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”
If men had authored the Bible instead of God, then verses like Luke 6:35 wouldn't have been written. The Bible says God is kind to the unthankful and to the evil. That is so contrary to our sinful human nature. Many people are malicious and vindictive; but God is patient, longsuffering and tolerates much mistreatment. I am amazed that God continues to tolerate the wickedness in America; but if you understand that Hell is forever, it isn't so hard to understand. God, Who is longsuffering and lovingly patient, will be justified in eternity when the wicked are brought into judgment.
God's patience will run out the day a person die in their sins. God's invitation to repent (2nd Peter 3:9), and His kindness toward unthankful and evil people, will end with one's last heart beat if they have not Christ. Being born-again is not optional (John 3:5-7; 1st Peter 1:23). Many apostates, like the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) group Third Day, pervert the true meaning of being born-again.
Salvation is a serious matter to God, and He will cast unbelievers into Hell forever to be punished in torments of fire and brimstone. Those who foolishly think that God will make an exception for others, letting Buddhists and Catholics and New Agers into Heaven, are taking an awful risk by going against the Scriptures. Jesus plainly warned in John 10:35 that the Scripture cannot be broken. Anyone who attempts to enter into Heaven apart from the front door, which is only by faith in Christ Jesus, are thieves and robbers.
John 10:1 and 9, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. ... I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
The invisible forces of God and Satan are all around us in society today. As I research the occult and their symbols, 666, Bohemian Grove, the Illuminati and the wickedness of this world, it is clear to me that there are demonic forces at work...
2nd Corinthians 4:4, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
The Bible speaks of the power of Satan verses the power of God in Acts 26:18. These forces are clearly seen at work in the world today...
Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
It is Christ's Spirit in me that has made this website (Romans 8:9). Just as Carlos Santana has a demon named 'Metatron' that guides Him into all music; so does every born-again believer have the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth (John 16:13). Notice that the Bible speaks of turning from Satan's power unto God's power. No matter how difficult this life may be, no matter how much pain and sorrow, misery and affliction, suffering and tribulation, loss and heartache; we are all either following God's power or Satan's power. Are you God's or Satan's?
My website ministry is here by the power of God working in me. Just as Noah built an ark, so have I built a bastion of truth on the internet in these Last Days, in a time of utter and deliberate confusion in all the churches. I challenge you, whoever you may be, to cling to the anchor of the inspired King James Bible (Hebrews 4:12). I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't believe that the King James Bible is inspired, lacking full confidence in our weapon to fight the Devil (Ephesians 6:12,17). My King James Bible is inspired (and so is yours), sharper than any double-edged Sword, piercing even between our soul and spirit, discerning our thoughts and intents (Hebrews 4:12). That's unfathomable power my friend, true power!
You can keep your plastic knife that's not inspired, like the New International Version (NIV) which was revised by homosexuals. I don't want your corrupt modern Bible PER-version. The King James is not a version, it's the Bible! God doesn't inspire a version; His Words are inspired and always will be!!! The King James Bible is the inspired Word(s) of God!!! Love them! Live them! Memorize them and hide them in thine heart!
Religion will fit you with glasses to see things from their perspective, leading you astray with doctrines of devils and modern sinful agendas; but the Lord desires to open our eyes with THE TRUTH!!! God's Word is truth (John 17:17). Jesus Christ is truth (John 14:6). The truth will set us free (John 8:32-36).
John 8:36-37, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you” ...
“Good! I hope the Jews
did kill Christ, I'd do it again. I'd F*cking do it again in a second!”
John 8:37, “...ye
seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.”
—Jewish comedian, Sarah Silverman, Jesus is Magic; 72-minute movie, 2006
John 8:37, “...ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.”
Ten people can read the Bible and half will believe, the other half won't. They read the same truths, but only some of them believe. Why? It's a matter of the heart my friend, for it is WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 10:10). If you want the truth, Romans 1:20 proclaims that the INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM are clearly seen, being understood by the things which are made. What more could we ask from God. All the evidence we need is already ours to behold. The big question is... Do you want the truth? To those who believe, no explanation is necessary; to those who believe not, no explanation is possible. Think about that for awhile my friend. God loves you.
Where the BURDEN Rests in Salvation
(the burden rests on Jesus Christ in the true gospel)
