What do Wiccan Believe?
The following information is from www.bewitchingways.com (All the type in green font is from their website). My responses or insertions will be in white font:
Wiccans call upon the deities to help themselves. The Goddess and God can help us change our lives. Because the Deities are the creative forces of the universe, not just symbols, we can call upon them to empower our rites and to bless our magick. That power is in the hands of every practitioner. We have direct links to the Deities. The Deities dwell within us (Scott Cunningham).
First off, pantheism is a lie! There is only ONE God according to the Bible (Deuteronomy 6:4). The Wiccan teaching of a "goddess" is nowhere found in the Scriptures, but is rather pagan in origin. The Wiccans do well to call themselves "pagans." The modern dictionary defines "pagan" as "One who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion." This definition is unbiblical because the Bible would also consider Islam and Judaism as "pagan." The Biblical definition of "pagan" is someone who is not a born again believer (a Christian). There is ONLY one source of power in this universe: God! Even the power which Satan (Lucifer) has is given to him by God (Luke 4:6). Satan would be a powerless peon if it were not for God allowing him to continue. Satan's day of judgment is coming when he shall be cast into the lake of fire along with all the Wiccans who foolishly worshipped him (as Lucifer).
Wicca acknowledges a supreme divine power, unknowable, ultimate from which the entire universe sprang. (Scott Cunningham). We refer to that divine power as The All. Wiccans link to that force through their deities.
The All is an energy field polarized by two forces, the Goddess and the God, which in their ultimate being are aspects of each other. The God is a polar image of the Goddess. The Goddess and God are the same forces flowing in opposite but not opposed directions. That polarity creates the cycle that underlies the movements of the stars and the changing seasons, the harmony of the natural world and the evolution within out human lives. (Starhawk)
Wicca recognizes Deity as dual. It reveres both the Goddess and the God. They are equal, warm and loving, not distant or resident in "heaven" but omnipresent throughout the universe. The Goddess and the God are both within ourselves and manifest in all nature. There is nothing that isn't of the Goddess and God (Scott Cunningham).
The Goddess and God are the same force flowing in opposite, but not opposed directions.
Wiccans are teaching damnable heresies totally contrary to the Word of God. Either you believe the Bible or you don't. You CANNOT be a Wiccan and a Christian, it is IMPOSSIBLE. Wiccans recognize the god of the universe is "The all?" You've got to be kidding! "An energy field polarized by two forces?" Oh boy! I need to go take a break for a minute. Are you people serious? The Bible teaches that God is a being, not an "energy field." Mankind was created in the "image of God" according the the Bible (Genesis 1:26). Mankind is NOT an energy field, and neither is God. The Bible presents God as a "Godhead" (Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9) -God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ came to this world as God incarnate (the Godhead incarnate -1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9. There is only ONE True and Living God, and He has revealed Himself to mankind as a Godhead. God is Omnipotent and controls all the power in the universe, but He is much more than a mere polarized energy field...He is God, an individual (Isaiah 43:12).
"The Goddess does not rule the world; she is the world." Manifested in each of us, she can be known internally by every individual, in all her magnificent diversity. Starhawk The Goddess is the universe itself, not something separate from or superior to it. (Eileen Holland)
There are three aspects of the Goddess represented by the three phases of the moon:
1. Maiden (waxing moon) - virgin patroness of birth
2. Nymph/Mother (full moon) - Sexual temptress, she mates and procreates
3. Crone (waxing moon) - The dark forces, wise
The Goddess is the Universal Mother, Earth mother, The Lady. She is the source of fertility, endless wisdom and caresses. She is represented by the Moon. Her symbol is a moon with a crescent on each side - the triple goddess.
You can see from reading the preceding why the Wiccans are so big on the environment (they worship the earth, the "goddess"). Now I'm all for taking care of the earth, but it is because the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof (1st Corinthians 10:26). Wicca is a lie of the devil. It is sad that so many people are joining Wicca simply because Wicca is concerned for the environment. Unsaved people look at phonies like President George W. Bush who claim to be "Christian" who actually destroying the environment. No Christian should ever pollute, destroy or mistreat God's creation. This is common sense and wisdom, not an earth-worshipping religion.
Wicca also teaches that the "goddess" is within all of us and can be "known". The Bible clearly teaches that no man can fellowship with God apart from being "born again" by the Spirit of God (1st Corinthians 2:14). The things of God are foolishness to the unsaved man or woman. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well that God the Father can ONLY be worshipped "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:23). There is a correlation between worship and truth. If you have the wrong DOCTRINE, then you CANNOT worship God because you do NOT have the TRUTH ("Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." -Mark 7:7).
The importance of the Goddess symbol for women cannot be overstressed. The image of the Goddess inspires women to see ourselves as divine, our bodies as sacred, the changing phases of our lives as holy, our aggression as healthy, our anger as purifying, and our power to nurture and create, but also to limit and destroy when necessary, as the very force that sustains all life. Starhawk
"See ourselves as divine?" Wow, talk about arrogant! Wiccans think they are divine. I am just a hell deserving sinner, not worthy by the name which I am called, "a Christian." Yet, God in His mercy sent Jesus Christ into the world to atone (pay) for all my rotten sins. Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because I owed a debt I could not pay. Thank God, Jesus paid the price with His own shed blood for our sins. You too can have your sins forgiven, but not if you are following the destructive religion of Wicca. Remember friend, the road to hell is always paved with good intentions (Proverb 14:12). The neon lights of Las Vegas (Sin City) cannot hide it's works of darkness from the eyes of God.
Wiccans worship hundreds of deities. This is wicked IDOLATRY in the eyes of God. Below are pictured three of the idols which Wiccans buy and worship.
Here are three universal depictions of the Goddess: (From left: Spiral Goddess, Fertility Goddess and Gaia - Mother Earth.)
These statues are available through Isis.
The God is the consort of the Goddess. He is represented in many versions: Pan/Horned God, Child God, Blue God and the Green God. He is Sky Father, The Lord.
Do NOT be deceived, this is NOT the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God Almighty, the Saviour, the Creator, the Redeemer, the Prince of Peace, the Everlasting Father, the Friend of sinners. Though a Friend to sinners, offering forgiveness and salvation, mankind is often God's enemy (James 4:4). God has never stopped loving man, but most men have never started loving God.
The God is son, brother, lover who becomes his own father: eternal sacrifice; eternally reborn into new life. His story is told through the Wheel of the Year.
Sounds like a malicious twisting of the truth if you ask me.
He is the tender of wild animals and is represented by the Sun. Fortunately, we don't need to wait for ritual to be reminded of God's presence, for he is all around us. His symbol is a circle with a crescent on top, like two horns - the symbol of Pan.
Here is a common image of the God in the form of Pan:

Some people find lack of names for the Goddess and God comforting, like a lack of limitations. Others prefer names and associations for the deities in the form of pantheons.
Pantheons are groups of gods and goddesses, usually found in mythology such as Egyptian, Celtic, Hindu, etc. Some Witches work with pantheons, others work solely with The Lord and Lady. Some Witches mix and match to create their own pantheon.
How convenient, mix and match your own assortment of false gods. Some witches may mix and match but ALL worship Satan, the deceitful lying dragon. Lucifer is Satan! Also, I've noticed that Wiccans like to continually attack "Christian" but steer clear of the Bible if possible. It's easier to attack less than perfect Christians than to attack the preserved, inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the standard by which we will be judged someday, not other people's opinions...
"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:
THE WORD that I have spoken, the same SHALL JUDGE him in the last day."
--THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, JOHN 12:48
This works really well as long as you remember to never mix pantheons within the same ritual or spell work.
Ouch! I'd hate to do that!
What working with a pantheon does is allow the Witch to call on a specific deity directly related to what they are doing. For instance, a Witch may want to do a spell of protection or health for their cat, he or she might call on the Egyptian Goddess Bast. It is much like the patron saints in Christianity.
"It is much like the patron saints in Christianity." CORRECTION...Roman Catholicism is NOT Christian! The Bible NEVER teaches anything about praying to anyone other than God alone. To pray to the whorish Mother Mary is to commit idolatry. "Mother Mary" is Catholicism, not Jesus' mother. The Great Whore is the Catholic religion. I just want to make things clear here. I am NOT a Catholic and can confidently say from the Bible that Catholicism is straight out of the pits of hell. Wicca is also straight out of the pits of hell.
Here is a look at some of the more popular pantheons:
(A good website to check for all you ever wanted to know about any goddess/god in the majority of pantheons is God Checkers, "The Holy database of all known gods." It's definitely a site worth visiting)
I've already seen enough of the foolishness of Wicca to run away as fast as I can. It is a shame that Wicca is becoming very popular amongst teenagers. Harry Potter is nothing more than witchcraft repackaged. Wicca witchcraft is black witchcraft. Don't you believe that devilish lie that there's something called "white witchcraft." There ain't no such animal. Just as there's no such thing as "Christian" rock. All rock music is straight from hell. Listen friend, Wicca is NOT of God. 2nd Corinthians 4:4 reveals that Satan is the god of this world (it's corrupt politics, wickedness, worldly entertainment, evil inventions, tyranny, false religion, evolution theory, secular reasoning, etc). Satan is the great DECEIVER and LIAR! Wicca is just another deception of the devil. Anyone with even a low IQ knows that Lucifer and Satan are the same person in the Bible. Wiccans blast Christians, claiming that we created the term "Satan" to demonize a good being named Lucifer. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH. The fact is that God in His Word records the fall of Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12). Lucifer became Satan (the accuser).
Wiccans openly admit that Lucifer is the god of light. The Bible clearly warns us that Satan is a master deceiver who always appears as an angel of light (2nd Corinthians 11:14). I plead with you to forsake Wicca and turn unto the Lord Jesus Christ instead for salvation.
