On September 11th, 2001—the unthinkable happened—two high-jacked jumbo jets flew into the World Trade Towers in New York city—killing over 3,000 innocent people. This was one of the saddest times in American history. A sleeping giant had been awoken to the reality that we were NOT invincible. I am often reminded of those little gumball/toy machines that my kids like to buy stuff from.  You put in a quarter, turn the knob, and out comes a small plastic ball with a toy in it.  Sadly, many people are living in a little plastic ball in their minds.  This is exactly what's wrong with so many Americans... we are living in a little bubble... ignorant of the reality that exists around us.

I love America!!!  This is my home.  I am sickened by those who undermine and burn the United States flag.  I once heard a military veteran say that the reason why he went to war was to have a right to burn the U.S. flag.  Though I understand his philosophy, it is simply wrong to desecrate the very symbol of our freedom.  I see entertainers and singers on TV wearing the U.S. flag as t-shirts and shorts—this is not good.  Roseanne Barr was invited to sing the nation anthem at a ball game years ago.  Instead of singing the lyrics to the song—she literally sang blah, blah, blah blah.  Although I understand why people are increasingly getting angry at the careless government and the situation in America, we should never abandon our patriotism.  Patriotism is love for one's country; NOT loyalty to a certain political party or agenda (as the liars at FOX NEWS would have everyone to believe). 

The blatant crimes being committed by our government's top leaders shouldn't cause us to despise the symbol of our freedom.  Our flag is the symbol which represents the lives of over one million men who died in battle to preserve our freedom (and might I add, much envied freedom).  People are dying in the oceans and in boxcars trying to migrate to this blessed land of freedom.  Why?  To have what the homeless man on the street has... opportunity and freedom.  God has been good to the United States.  Yet, we spit in His face by living in unrepentant sin, even naming one of our largest cities as "SIN CITY"!
 

Were the 911 Attacks God's hand of Judgment?

Someone asked me if I thought the World Trade Center disaster was God’s judgment on America?  Wow ...  what a question!  No, I don't believe so.  What I do believe is that God gives mankind enough rope to hang himself, and we certainly are doing so in America today.  Our nation is in spiritual ruins.  Rock 'N' Roll has become the religion of our nation. As a consequence, homosexuality, feminism, pornography, nudity and abortion have woefully infested America.

America is in sad spiritual condition.  There is no way that the abortion (murder) of tens-of-millions of little children can be justified in the eyes of God, their Creator.  God began those lives, and men have no right to stop them.  The legalized gambling, liquor, pornography, and prostitution sickens God.  The nudity and sex-crazed garbage that pours out of Hollywood and floods theaters and TV screens makes Sodom look like a nice place to live.  God is angry over these iniquities as well as many other sins in this nation.  We have become soft and vulnerable as a nation where criminals have guns but the innocent don’t.  We want to pretend that everything is going to get better over time (through education, reformation and enlightenment); but history has shown that mankind is destined to war and destruction.  Evil is a reality of life.  Again, America has become soft and vulnerable as a nation.

An example: If I leave my car doors open, should I marvel that something is stolen?  Likewise, should we marvel that a group of evil people can plot to kill Americans and blow up buildings?  Whether we like it or not, war is a fact of life because men are the children of wrath...

“...and were by nature the CHILDREN OF WRATH, even as others” (Ephesians 2:3).

Mankind is sinful and prone to evil. We are prone to hot-tempers, hatred, jealousy, anger and revenge (2nd Timothy 3:1-5).  We are not exempt from terrorism in the United States, and now it's here.  The American people have been deceived about the "War On Terror."  It doesn't exist!  It is a cleverly devised plot to convince American citizens to surrender their freedoms in exchange for security (but we are losing both!).
 

God Won't Bless False Religion!

We have a demonic form of false religion in society today where people of all faiths are being encouraged to unite in worship of an undefined, multi-faith, all-purpose God.  This hideous religion is called "New Age."  This is also the false god of the Masons, known as "The Great Architect."  We hear much talk of “spiritual experiences” and “spiritual energy” from such people as Oprah Winfrey and James Van Praagh.  This "new" religion (which is NOT really new) says, “Hey, I don’t care what you believe about God, let’s all just unite together for a common cause.”  The problem is that New Age rejects Jesus Christ as the Savior.  New Age is rooted in Humanism and the occult.  Humanism exalts man's will above God's Word, causing men to become their own gods.

Humanism teaches that mankind is inherently good (not sinful), that he is able to resolve his own problems through the unity of human effort (not through God), that the Word of God is not to be taken seriously.  I recently heard President George Bush Jr. quoting out of the Koran to impress the Muslims.  I’ve yet to hear him quote God’s Word.  Humanism allows you to believe anything you want, so long as you unite with your fellow human beings in rebellion against the Word of God.  I heard Bush say that there are many religions which lead to God.  President Bush is wrong... the ONLY way to God the Father is through the Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6).  We hear much nowadays about "world peace talks"; but there is no peace.

I'm NOT against unity, not at all.  What I am against is being united by error.  I would rather be divided over truth, than united by error.  Unfortunately, this is not politically correct nowadays.  The heathen world propagates the belief that we should all be united... NO MATTER WHAT!  This is Humanism, not what the Bible teaches.  "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2nd Corinthians 6:17).  Every believer is to separate from unbelievers.  Satan is the god of this world, we are simply pilgrims passing through.  We must keep our eyes upon the blessed Savior, Jesus Christ (our faithful God and Creator). 

The Scriptures foretold of all this my friend.  The stage is being set for the Antichrist to come.  The united one-world government is being formed.  When will Jesus return?  We simply do NOT know!!! However, I personally believe it will be soon because of the fact that we have seen technologies in the last hundred years which mankind has never seen (all in one hundred years!).  There were no planes, jets, cars, trucks, computers, electricity, phones, radios, TV's, microwave ovens or nuclear weapons two hundred years ago.  Mankind will destroy himself with all these new toys (such as nuclear weapons) if the Lord doesn’t return. This is only my opinion but I am confident that the Lord will return in my lifetime, if I live an average lifespan.

America today is saturated with false religions: Catholicism, Lutheranism, Church of Christ, Mormonism, Seventh-Day Adventism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Moonies, Scientology, Judaism, Islam, et cetera.  These religions all pervert the Scriptures and teach a works-based salvation.  However, the Word of God adamantly states that salvation is a free gift, which does not require any human effort (Romans 4:5; 6:23; 10:3-4).
 

A Proper Christian Perspective

I don't believe we should be hateful as Christians.  The Bible teaches that "...God is no respecter of persons" (Acts 10:34).  We are to love all people, regardless.  However, the ungodly will never be accepted by the righteous, nor will the righteous be accepted by the ungodly.  What fellowship hath darkness with light?  I am simply saying that God will NOT bless a nation, a city, a company, a church, or an individual that glorifies sin.  It is NOT discrimination because preachers preach against sin; anymore than it is discrimination when the kooks, quacks and queers blast and attack Bible-believing, Christ-honoring Christians (and they do!).  The Bible makes a clear statement on this matter, "An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked" (Proverb 29:27). 

The just and the unjust will NEVER unite in perfect harmony—the Bible tells us so.  Do you see why the Bible is getting less and less popular these days?  It surely does NOT lend a hand to the New Age agenda.  The Bible is the enemy of the heathen world.  I'm not talking about the liberal, watered-down, wishy-washy corrupt bibles like the NIV and NKJV.  I'm talking about the King James Bible of 1611.  Is it any wonder the the NIV removes the word "sodomite" completely?  It's the most popular bible on the market today, sadly. 
 

AMERICA: A Sin-Loving nation!

How sad that so many folks today have no regard for God's Law.  They enjoy their freedom in the United States, just as do all Bible-believing Christians; But they abuse their freedom by shamelessly committing sin. 

We're in Trouble with God!

The battle today is between man's will and God's Law—between man's word and God's Word.   Men say they have the "right" to practice sodomy; but, God says they don't.  Women say they have the right to murder their own children; but, God says they don't.  God bless America???  He already has my friend but for how long?  We are so very blessed indeed in this great nation.  Did you know that 2.4 billion people around the world are surviving on less than $2 a day? (less than two dollars!).  Unbelievable!  Many Americans spend 10 times that just for lunch.  We have been blessed friend!  Unfortunately, many folks are squandering their freedom which was handed to them on a silver-platter.  We owe our freedom to God and the men who died to secure it! 

This nation was established on Biblical principles; unfortunately, we are fast leaving those principles.  America today is more Communist than ever.  More and more people are expecting the government to take care of them.  More and more the government is controlling our lives.  We are living in a time when the government can force parents to drug their own children against their will (even with non-essential, proven dangerous drugs!).  We are living in a day where a man is considered guilty until proven innocent.  This nation's days of freedom are numbered!  Even now, China and other Communist nations are eyeing America.  Tens-of-millions of foreigners hate our very existence.  America is a sinfully proud, arrogant, and irresponsible nation. 

The godless public school system has removed God and His Word from the classrooms and curriculum.  Of course, kids are still being taught the unproven theory of evolution as if it were a fact.  On and on, our nation is in big trouble.  Predictions have been made that TV (hellivision) producers, will be airing full-frontal nudity within 2 years.  America is sex-crazed—sex, sex, sex, money, money, money.  How much longer can we continue in our perverted ways as a nation before God says: "enough!"  God did not tolerate the sins of Sodom (and they had no Bible, nor preachers!).  God made an example of Sodom and Gomorrah, of what would happen to all those who live ungodly (Jude 1:7). Today, we are surrounded by preaching and the the Word of God, yet multitudes in society spit in God's face. 

The greatest sin of our day is indifference!  Most of the talk and entertainment shows do nothing but glamorize and glorify sin and rebellion against God.  It's all a big joke to them.  Nothing really seems to matter anymore when it comes to decency and morality.  The Bible says, "Fools make a mock at sin" (Proverb 14:9).  On a recent Entertainment Tonight show, rock legend Gene Simons of "KISS", bragged about having sex with 4,600 women throughout his career.  Satanist—Ozzy Osbourne—praised by millions of fans around the world, blasphemes God in all his music.  MTV just signed Ozzy up for a $20 million deal (because people can't get enough of him) to continue his Osbourne Series.  Ozzy with his upside down crosses, antichrist lyrics and freak image has weaseled his way into the hearts of people.  Many people feel like losers so they can naturally relate to a guy like "Ozzy"—he's weird, an outcast, a freak, strange, rejected, controversial, rebellious, etc, etc.  So many people don't like themselves, their life, their job, their spouse, et cetera.  This is the nature of the materialistic society in which we live.  On the contrary, the Bible teaches us to be "content with such things" as we have.  Every child of God must learn to accept themselves, through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that washes our sins away.  We are the object of God's great love, created in His own image. 

Conclusion 

God has blessed America mightily and it's up to us whether or not He continues to do so.  I believe that God has spared judgment on America BECAUSE of the remaining Bible-believing, Christ-honoring, soulwinning Christians who still serve the Lord.  Thank God for the Independent Baptist Churches across America, and for others who are loyal to the Word of God.  Do you not realize that Jesus Christ spoke at least 200 billion galaxies into existence on the 4th day of creation?  What awesome power!  Do you not realize that the universe has no end?  How can scientists explain this?  Do you realize that Jesus Christ has no beginning nor end?  Jesus is the beginning and the end for mankind!  This should not be surprising when one considers that time could not have had a beginning.  Again, how can scientists explain this?  When did time itself begin? 

In conclusion, I believe God’s judgment is inevitably approaching the United States for our iniquities (i.e., the acceptance of sodomy as a legitimate lifestyle, the murder of tens-of-millions of children through brutal abortion, legalized booze and gambling, divorce and the breakdown of the family, the humanistic public school system, the vile filth oozing out of Hollywood, pornography, the spiritual wickedness in high places, et cetera). How long can we continue down this path before God says, “enough!”  How long can we continue before we bring judgment upon ourselves?

I won't say that the World Trade Center disaster was God’s judgment on America; however, we are due for something bad if we continue in sin. We claim to be "one nation under God" while murdering the unborn. We say “in God we trust” while allowing soft porn to infiltrate every avenue of advertising and entertainment. Do we really trust in God???  I think not. The God we serve in America is the god of humanism (i.e., man becomes his own god).  Recently in Chicago, a street was named in honor of Hue Hefner (founder of Playboy Inc). Another building in Chicago was given landmark status in honor of a sodomite who lived there in the 1920’s. God will remove his hand of protection from this nation if we don’t repent of our evil ways.  We are going over a moral waterfall very rapidly in America—I fear there is no turning back at this point. God has blessed America in the past, but has no reason to do so today.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD” (Psalm 33:12). 

Praise Jesus Christ, our God and Savior!!!

Friend, life is not something to be squandered away.  There is a God, and He has written a Book to you and me called the Holy Bible.  Do you not realize that trillions of years won't even be the beginning of eternity?  This should scare you greatly if you don't know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior?  Revelation 10:6 tells us that the day will come that there should be time no longer.  If you go to Hell, you will be forgotten for eternity, suffering in the tormentuous flames of Hell.  Have your sins been forgiven, washed away by Jesus cleansing blood?  Are you a born-again child of God?
