Romans 10:15, “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
The Bible teaches that believers who win many to God's imputed righteousness will shine as the brightness of the stars for all eternity...
Daniel 12:2-3, “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
It is my humble opinion that this simply means the people we rescue from the fires of Hell will love and cherish us for all eternity. We know that God will reward every saint who labors for Christ (1st Corinthians 3:7-8). But I believe Daniel 12:3 refers to the people whom we lead to Jesus Christ. Pastor Jack Hyles rightly said that the degree of my success won't be measured by the number of people who show up ay my funeral when I die; but rather, it will be measured by the number of people waiting to greet me in Heaven when I get there. In other words, our success as believers will be determined by the number of people that we lead to put their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. I like that a lot. I think Dr. Hyles is absolutely right. And I also think this is exactly what the prophet meant in Daniel 12:3.
Philippians 2:15-16, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; HOLDING FORTH THE WORD OF LIFE; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”
"Ye that love the
LORD, hate evil..."
