No Salvation Without The Law

By David J. Stewart | February 2007 | Updated June 2016

Romans 7:7, “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.”

There are numerous false Gospels being taught today. Some errantly teach that a person must “turn away from sins” to be saved. Others require intent to reform. Some say to invite Jesus into your life to be saved. These are unbiblical teachings rooted in self-righteousness. There is popular heresy called “Lordship Salvation.” This is a false doctrine which says to believe the Gospel is insufficient to save a person; but in addition (they say) there must also be a ceasing from sinful bad habits.

Proponents of the Lordship Salvation heresy require a person to declare “Jesus is Lord” to be saved. This is a false plan of salvation. The truth is that you don't make Jesus “Lord,” because He is Lord! The Bible simply tells us to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” to be saved (Acts 16:30-31). Jesus paid for our sins. Eternal life is a free gift. Salvation is receiving, not giving. We simply receive it by faith in the Gospel. “The Gospel” according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 is that Christ DIED on the cross for our sins, He was BURIED, and Jesus bodily RESURRECTED three days later for our justification. We are saved by the power of the Gospel. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

God's law shows men their guilty condition in the eyes of a holy God:

Galatians 3:24, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”

I thank God for saving me (at age 13). We are saved solely by God's grace...

Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

On your own, you'd have to be 100% perfect to go to Heaven (which is impossible). Committing even one sin is enough for God to send a person to Hell forever (James 2:10). Since no one is perfect, no one is worthy of Heaven. Thus, we all need a perfect Savior, Jesus Christ—the sinless Lamb of God! I thank God that He loved a sinner like me, sending His only begotten Son to the cross to bleed and die for my countless sins (and yours). God made Jesus (the sinless Lamb of God) to be as sin, Who knew no sin (He was sinlessly perfect); that we, who knew no righteousness, could be made the righteousness OF GOD IN HIM!!! ...

2nd Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

We have no righteousness of our own to offer God, none! In order to be saved, we need HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, that is, Christ's imputed righteousness. That's why we read in Romans 4:5-6, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works. The word “counted” here comes from the same exact Greek word as “imputed” in verse 6. Thus, these words are interchangeable. David, writing under the inspiration of God, spoke about a different form of righteousness that comes WITHOUT WORKS. Man's self-righteousness is only by works,  but God's righteousness comes without works. In God's righteousness, a man's FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS!!! This is Biblical salvation.

When you were born, your name was written into the Lamb's Book Of Life. It will be there when you die if you DIE IN THE LORD (Revelation 14:13). However, if you reject Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you will DIE IN YOUR SINS (John 8:24). If you refuse to obey the Gospel by believing it, your name is BLOTTED OUT of the Lamb's Book Of Life. and you'll spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 3:5). A person's name is blotted out when they willfully reject Jesus as their Savior. I am so glad that I am saved in Christ Jesus. I am so glad that I am not caught up into all the world's religions. Here is a wonderful Scripture...

Acts 13:38-39, “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

To be saved, there must be an awareness of one's SINNERSHIP, that is, guilt of sin for violating God's holy Law. This is what the title of this article means . . . THERE IS NO SALVATION WITHOUT THE LAW! Galatians 3:25-25, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” The law of God shows us our sinfulness and consequent need for Christ. Without the law of God, no man would see himself as a guilty sinner, which is necessary to believe the Gospel. You must see your desperate need for the Savior. You need to know what you are being saved from.

God does not tell us to clean up our life, amend our ways, commit to do better in the future, nor forsake the world to be saved. However, God does expect us to acknowledge our sinnership—the owning before God that I am as vile a sinner as He hath declared me to be in His Holy Word. No man has ever been saved who didn't admit that he is a sinner! This is the purpose and function of the law—to show men their sinnership. Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.”

The Necessity Of God's Law

To clarify, confessing individual sins is different than acknowledging one's sinnership. A perfect illustration of this theological difference is found in Judas, one of Christ's very apostles. Matthew 27:1-3 says that Judas felt sorry for betraying Christ. Judas tried to return the 30 pieces of silver, but the chief priests refused, because they knew it was blood money. Judas cast the money to the ground and fled. Judas confessed his sins, but he failed to realize his guilt in God's eyes and consequent need for the Savior. Sadly, Judas didn't believe on Christ, hung himself in suicide and went to Hell forever.

The Word of God indicts (brings formal charges) against all humanity for our sins. God the Father is the divine Prosecutor, whose holiness demands justice. Sin must be paid for! Justice must be met! Thankfully, Jesus Christ paid our sin debt with His own literal, precious, blood (1st Peter 1:18-19). Jesus loves us and wants to redeem us back to the Father (1st John 3:16). If we'll acknowledge our guilt of sin (Romans 3:19), and rest upon Christ's work of redemption as our payment for sin; then God promises to fully pardon our iniquities. Acts 10:43, “To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins.” This is NOT a plea agreement, for a plea agreement is still a conviction, and “He that believeth on Him is not condemned” (John 3:18a).

A person must believe that there is a penalty for sin—which is death and Hell—and that we as sinners are deserving of such just punishment from God (Romans 6:23; Revelation 21:8). Why does a man need a Savior if there is nothing to be saved from? The issue of sin MUST be dealt with! It is not enough to merely turn-over-a-new-leaf, nor to make a commitment to Christ. We are GUILTY of violating God's Law (Romans 3:19). Sin must be paid for! You can either accept God's gift of pardon through the blood sacrifice of Christ Jesus, or you can spend eternity being punished in the Lake of Fire for your own sins. The choice is completely yours to make. I was saved when I was 13-years old. Jesus is my defense Attorney, i.e., advocate, with the Father (1st John 2:1). He has taken care of my sins for me, washing them away by His own literal blood (Hebrews 9:12,22-24). Jesus did this for me because I obeyed the Gospel, by believing on Jesus as the Christ to forgive my sins (2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 20:31).

The Law of God shows us our vile wicked condition and our desperate need for the Savior. This is why the Ten Commandments were given to mankind (i.e., that our sin might become exceedingly sinful). Romans 7:13, “...that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.” We are all guilty of breaking the Ten Commandments, whether by act or thought. Jesus equated lust with adultery and hatred with murder in the Sermon On The Mount (Matthew 5:21-22,28).

Salvation boils down to these two simple facts: We are SINNERS, and Jesus is the SAVIOR! You have to include BOTH for salvation. The importance of using the Law to reach the lost cannot be ignored. It is critically important that we present the Law to those we witness to, i.e., show them their sinfulness from the Word of God. We should NEVER tell someone that they need Jesus, without telling them WHY they need Jesus―because they are hellbound sinners under the condemnation of God's Law. John 3:19 states, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” Salvation is simple—we acknowledge our guilt of sin and believe on Christ for forgiveness.

There is a theological war going on in Baptist churches today over what the Bible requires to be saved. Some say “just believe on Jesus,” but they don't mention Christ's death, burial and resurrection from the dead. It is a false plan of salvation to tell people to “give your life to Jesus” or “invite Jesus into your heart” or to “feel sorry for your sins” or to “pray the sinner's prayer” or to “commit your life to Christ” to be saved. A person can do all these things and yet never have believed the Gospel message. The Gospel according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 is that Christ DIED, was BURIED and RESURRECTED after three days. If a person receives the Gospel as full payment for their sins, they are saved. You don't have to confess all your sins to God to be saved, but you DO need to come as a sinner to be saved. God saves the ungodly, not the self-righteous. Mark 2:17, “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Come, oh sinner, believing the Gospel and you will be saved!

The Simplicity Of Salvation

Salvation is not hard as Dr. John MacArthur foolishly teaches. MacArthur has literally written a book titled, “HARD TO BELIEVE.” No, 2nd Corinthians 11:3 warns us about those who corrupt the simplicity that is in Christ. It may be hard for man to come to Christ because of their love for sin, but salvation itself is not hard. Getting saved is as easy as walking through a door. John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

Evangelist Ray Comfort is correct to emphasis the law of God when he witnesses to people, but he makes the grave mistake of requiring people to amend their ways and forsake the sinful world to be saved. (This is why Ray Comfort never has any converts in his public street preaching events.) It is a total misunderstanding and misapplication of the Gospel to tell people to turn from their sinful ways as a requirement to receive the gift of eternal life. Hello, it is a “gift.” The Gospel means “Good News.” The Gospel is not a call to duty nor to better our life, but the Good News that God's righteousness is available to anyone who believes on Jesus Christ for salvation. It's not what you're doing that gets you to Heaven, it's where you're looking. Look to Jesus! A person can attend church their entire life and still go to Hell in unbelief. Many churchgoers today have churchianity without Christianity. A demon's favorite activity is convincing religious people that they are going to Heaven. Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. Religious cannot save anyone. Religion wants to fit us with glasses, but the Lord wants to open our eyes with the truth. God's Word is truth (John 17:17).

Salvation is not something we do to get, it's something that we receive to have. Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23; John 3:16-18). Salvation is receiving, not giving. The Gospel is so simple that volumes of books can be written, and have been written, in its defense. Satan knows that if he can add or subtract just one thing, then he has completely changed and corrupted the Gospel message. Biblical salvation is by faith in what Christ has done for us, and NOT what we have done for Him. The Biblical Gospel teaches that Christ bore the heavy burden of our sins upon Himself on the cross. A false plan of salvation, such as Lordship Salvation, shifts and places the burden upon the sinner, requiring him or her to amend their ways, forsake the world, intend to reform or make a full surrender to Christ. The simplicity that is in Christ teaches that any person will be saved by simply believing the Gospel.

We Are All Guilty Sinners

Most sinners fail to realize their wickedness in the light of God's Word. Most people compare themselves to others who are worse than they are, instead of properly comparing themselves to God's law. A hypocrite is someone who views another person as being a bigger sinner than them self. Yet James 2:10 says, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” That means you and I are as guilty as Adolf Hitler as far as God is concerned. Committing even one sin is enough to condemn a man to Hell forever. Hypocrites are looking horizontally (at man), instead of vertically (at God). They ought to be comparing themselves to God's holy commandments, instead of the behavior of other men. If we'd compare ourselves to God's law, It would show us our woefully sinful condition.

Isaiah the prophet said, “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” Few people truly see themselves as deserving of hellfire. In Proverb 30:20 we read, “Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.” This attitude is prevalent in the world today. Homosexuals are relentlessly trying to justify their wickedness, even tampering with the Bible to do so. Who would have imagined a day when we would see “Feminist Theology.” Some of today's churches are even marching in PRO-ABORTION rallies!!! Now more than ever, Billy Sunday style red-hot preaching against sin is needed. Prayer is needed. The reason why our churches are prayerless is because our homes have no prayer.

In summary, a person is NOT required to keep the Law to be saved. Not at all. To add the law (or anything else) to faith alone in Jesus Christ is a guaranteed path to hell-fire. The purpose of the law is simply to show mankind his sinful condition, his guilt and consequent need for a Savior. Galatians 3:24, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” The law is simply a teacher, who points us to the precious Lamb of God. The literal blood of Jesus is the only remedy for our sins. 1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” I thank God that He loved me enough to send His only begotten Son to pay my debt of sin.

A Corrupt Social Gospel Requires No Repentance

Tragically, because of a woeful lack of preaching against sin in churches today, a false social Gospel has emerged in recent decades. This is the pseudo-Gospel of imposters like Martin Luther King Jr., who openly denied the deity of Jesus. And yet to this day people refer to Mr. King as the “Reverend.” What a farce! The neo-evangelical ecumenical movement today propagates a message of love and unity above all else, uniting in sinful compromise and apostasy. Instead of dividing over truth as the Bible commands, they unite in error in sinful compromise with unbelievers. This is the Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen crowd. Their remedy for humanity is a false social Gospel that simply requires a person to follow the teachings of Jesus.

There is no true repentance of the mind. That is, they are still woefully ignorant of truth. 2nd Timothy 2:25, “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.” Repentance is “a change of mind” (Greek: metanoia). The verb form of the noun metanoia is metanoeo, which means, “to think differently.” Acts 20:21 speaks of “repentance toward God.” Notice the words “TOWARD GOD”! As we just read in 2nd Timothy 2:25, repentance is changing one's mind to acknowledge THE TRUTH. What truth? Of course, the truth of the Gospel. A social Gospel has “a form of godliness,” but “denies” the saving-power of the Gospel (2nd Timothy 3:5). In a social Gospel there is no faith in the Gospel. There is no remission of sins. There is no cleansing blood of Jesus. This is why 18% of the Unitarian Universalist churches' members are Atheists! This is the corrupt fruit of a social Gospel

The SIMPLICITY of the Gospel has been corrupted, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” It is simple to be saved by trusting upon the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; but it is absolutely essential for that person to come to Jesus on the basis of being a guilty sinner. God saves sinners who helplessly trust upon the Savior, not the self-righteous who trust in the arm of man to get them to Heaven. Man has no part of God's salvation. Eternal life is free and clear, paid in full, a gift waiting to be accepted by faith in the Gospel. Just believe and the work is done. John 6:29, “Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” John 6:29 speaks of “the work of God,” and not a self-righteous work of man.

Pastor Harry Ironside Has It Correct

Please read the following excellent explanation of the Gospel by former Moody Memorial Church pastor, Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951)...

“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …

Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

Repentance Toward God

You can put all the faith in Christ you want, but it means nothing if you're in denial about your sins... “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us” (1st John 1:10). If you don't think you're a sinner, then you didn't believe the Biblical Gospel. You have religion, not salvation. The only Gospel message taught in the Bible is that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS!!! He was buried. And Jesus was RESURRECTED after three days from the dead. The entire matter of salvation deals with OUR SINS. Thus, repentance is when we come to the realization that we have sinned AGAINST GOD and we turn by faith to the Lord to be forgiven.

Notice what Joseph said to Potiphar's wicked, adulterous wife who tried to seduce him in Genesis 39:9... “There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin AGAINST GOD?” Joseph realized that if he did commit adultery, he would be sinning AGAINST GOD! In Luke 15:21, the repentant prodigal son said... “Father, I have sinned AGAINST HEAVEN, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.”

Notice what king David said in Psalm 41:4, “LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned AGAINST THEE.” Notice what the Apostle Paul taught in Acts 20:21, “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” So you see, lost sinners need to REPENT TOWARD GOD, and not away from sin. You will not find any teaching in the Bible about “turning from sin” to be saved; but rather, Mark 1:15 says “repent and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL”! “Believing the Gospel” is the object of repentance unto salvation. Carefully notice again in Mark 1:15 what Jesus said... “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Notice that Jesus DIDN'T say “repent ye, and forsake your sins.” No, rather, He said, “repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

Since the word “metanoia” simply means “to change one's mind,” it requires supplemental information, because we don't know what to change our mind about. Whereas the English word “repent” definitely means to turn away from sins, the Greek word metanoia doesn't give us any specifics. The Word of God gives us the needed supplemental information in our text verse from Mark 1:15b, “repent ye, and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.” Hence, repentance is unto the Gospel itself. The Gospel is what the change of mind is about. The great meaning of the word metanoia is that is applies to anything and everything that hinders a person from believing the Gospel. Whatever it is that has been hindering a sinner from believing the Gospel, the Scriptures command us to think differently toward God (Acts 20:21) and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. The Gospel is what the change of mind is about.

The Great Meaning Of “METANOIA”

A lot of people are making a big deal of repentance these days, separating it from faith and making it an additional step to be saved. Albeit, in the Gospel of John, the words “believe” and “believed” are mentioned 85 times; yet the word “repent” is not mentioned even once. Clearly repentance and faith happen simultaneously and are inseparable. One who believes has repented, and one who repents has believed. There are no steps to salvation. You don't repent first, and then have belief second. That's not how it works. Pastor Aiden Tozer errantly teaches, “There can be no spiritual regeneration till there has been a moral reformation.” That is a false plan of salvation leading to Hell. How can a man reform until he first gets saved, and the Holy Spirit comes to live within him? It is God Who changes a sinner into a righteous person, and not the sinner himself.

There are two prevalent false gospels today: Lordship Salvation and a social gospelLordship Salvation errantly requires a person to FORSAKE their sins to be saved. A social gospel errantly leads people to follow the teachings of Jesus, but no appeal is made to be "born again" because of the condemnation of sin. Salvation is not a magical prayer that we pray, or merely inviting Jesus into our life; Salvation is repenting towards God in faith because of the SINS we have committed. It is our faith that is COUNTED for righteousness... “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5). The wicked world teaches that self-righteous works are necessary to get to Heaven, which is why they're not going.

The blood of Jesus takes our SINS away, in response to our faith in Him... “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ...” (1st Peter 1:18-19). It is Jesus' literal blood that cleanses our sins away, “...and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1st John 1:7). What a Precious Savior!

The Guilt Of Sin in the Eyes of a Holy God

Most preachers today have lost touch with the reality of God's law. Here's a brief quote from Jonathan Edwards' classic sermon “Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God” . . .

Your wickedness makes you as it were heavy as lead, and to tend downwards with great weight and pressure towards hell; and if God should let you go, you would immediately sink and swiftly descend and plunge into the bottomless gulf, and your healthy constitution, and your own care and prudence, and best contrivance, and all your righteousness, would have no more influence to uphold you and keep you out of hell, than a spider's web would have to stop a falling rock. Were it not for the sovereign pleasure of God, the earth would not bear you one moment; for you are a burden to it; the creation groans with you; the creature is made subject to the bondage of your corruption, not willingly; the sun does not willingly shine upon you to give you light to serve sin and Satan; the earth does not willingly yield her increase to satisfy your lusts; nor is it willingly a stage for your wickedness to be acted upon; the air does not willingly serve you for breath to maintain the flame of life in your vitals, while you spend your life in the service of God's enemies.

Could you imagine Joel Osteen speaking these same words to his coliseum of followers? He'd be preaching to empty seats mighty quickly. Could you imagine Pat Robertson on the 700 Club speaking these words on national TV? He'd be finished. 2nd Timothy 4:3 tells us why, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” Americans are spoiled rotten with pride and self-righteousness. They only want to hear about how to get rich, prosper, and have better health. People won't tolerate being told how sinful they are these days. The truth hurts!

They are vehemently opposed to hell, fire and damnation preaching. We boast of being a nation that “values life,” even going to war against other nations for their alleged “human rights violations”; yet, Americans are GUILTY of murdering tens-of-millions of their own children through abortion. How hypocritical! How wicked! How sinful!

Who do we think we are to condemn others for the SAME crimes we commit as Americans? Do you see the wickedness? How many preachers and pastors today would DARE tell a group of Americans that they are dirty, filthy, rotten, sinners, deserving of Hell-fire? You'll never hear a greedy televangelist preach a “Payday Someday” sermon, or “Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God.” Read again what Pastor Edwards' said... “Your wickedness makes you as it were heavy as lead, and to tend downwards with great weight and pressure towards hell.

Today's apostate ministers preach about everything except God's penalty against man's sin. The topic of Hell is avoided. Most lost sinners today believe themselves undeserving of any eternal punishment for their faults and shortcomings. God's love has been overemphasized to the point that many sinners cannot reconcile God's love with the Biblical condemnation that comes from a just God. Over 700 times the Bible mentions God as being “Holy,” as compared to mentioning God's love about 120 times. Churches today are filled with sycophantic praises. Psychology has replaced old fashioned Bible preaching.

Many unrepentant people today, who are proud and self-righteous, "think" they are saved simply because they "gave their life to Jesus." This is the heresy being taught in Charismatic circles today and by their televangelists. Judas gave his life to Jesus and went to Hell. The Pharisees dedicated their lives to religion and went to Hell. You'd better get BORN-AGAIN!  We are saved through Jesus' blood that takes our sins away. The great evangelist Charles Finney said...

“The severity of the Law should be unsparingly applied to the conscience until the sinner's self-righteousness is annihilated, and he stands speechless and condemned before the Holy God.” —Evangelist Charles Finney (1792-1875)

Televangelists utterly fail to preach against America's sins. All we hear is how someone was on the brink of bankruptcy, but then sent in their last $20 to The 700 Club, and now their life is a bed of roses. 2nd Peter 2:3 describes these greedy imposters in exact Words... “And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” Woe unto America's apostate televangelists!!!

We need to preach the “Thou shalt nots” of the Bible. Sinners need to recognize that they've sinned against God. Many people today have a frivolous attitude toward coming to Christ, because they genuinely don't see their NEED. All they see is a big game of playing church, giving money to some greedy preacher and being brainwashed. The fault rests upon America's preachers who have dropped the ball concerning the awfulness of sin. Some churches are even ordaining homosexuals. Other churches support abortion rights. It is shameful. The Apostle Paul states in Romans 7:13 that God's law was given so “that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.”

Television does the opposite of the Bible, desensitizing the viewer to the awfulness of sin. The law of God does the exact opposite of Hellivision—the law SENSITIZES us to the sinfulness of sin! TV desensitizes it's viewers to the sinfulness of sin. The average adult today grew up being saturated with TV—murders, rapes, adulteries, nudity, cursing, robberies, deaths, et cetera. As a tragic consequence, people today don't discern any difference between fiction and reality. Sin in real life is no big deal anymore, because people have become desensitized through Godless television. With the TV having become America's IDOL, it behooves every preacher and pastor in America today to preach GOD'S LAW.

Salvation is simply receiving Christ's death, burial and resurrection as full payment for OUR SINS. There are no requirements to be saved. Jesus paid for everyone's sins 2,000 years ago on the cross. It is a gift. But you must receive the gift or it will be forfeited. God has freely provided salvation to anyone who wants it, by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

JESUS CAME TO SAVE SINNERS!

Don't Get Stuck On The Law Of God!

The Sin Question/Son Question | Repentance

Acts 13:38-39, “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”
