Why Do They Make Gray Cars? The Road is Gray!

By David J. Stewart | April 2018

I cannot tell you how many times that I have averted a near-miss car accident, because of having not seen a gray car, because it was obscured by the gray road. Why do they make gray cars? It makes no sense to me. Honestly, what is wrong with people? When you are driving, you're always contending with time and distances. The faster you drive, the shorter your reaction time becomes. That is, the faster that you drive, the less time you will have to make critical decisions, especially if something goes wrong. That is why speed limits are posted.

By the way, the spelling of “grey” is British, but in America we usually spell it “gray.”

I hate gray cars, I really do. I think the law should ban all shades of gray, since the road is gray. It is commonsense folks. Unfortunately, “common” sense is not always so common these days. I am not saying that driving a grey car will always get you into an accident, I am saying that the likelihood of getting into one greatly increases, especially if the shade of gray on a car matches the color of the road. And of course, the position of the sun in relation to your view, which greatly affects lighting, plays a big role in the equation as well. I would avoid having a grey car at all cost!

I got to thinking about this subject today, and realized that this is also a perfect illustration of many false gospels being taught today in the churches. The pure Gospel is black and white, clear-cut, easy to understand, plain to see, and even a small child can understand it and be saved. In sharp contrast, Satan has inspired many unlearned religious professors, pastors and clergy to corrupt the Gospel. For example: Anyone who requires “turning from sins” to be saved is teaching a grayed-out gospel that cannot save anybody, because the pure Gospel has been hidden. The true Gospel of free grace is black and white, plain as day!

Another example is when foolish preachers require “surrendering one's life to Christ” to be saved, or “making Jesus the Lord of one's life.” These are NOT part of “the Gospel” as taught in 1st Corinthians 15:1-6. Christ DIED on the cross for our sins. He was BURIED. And three days later He physically RESURRECTED from the dead for our justification. These three things compromise the “GOOD NEWS,” which the Scriptures call, “the simplicity that is in Christ” (2nd Corinthians 11:3). Romans 1:16 says that we are saved by the Gospel, if we BELIEVE. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

There is not one verse in the entire Holy Bible about forsaking sinful ways to receive the free gift of eternal life. I'm tired of compromised Baptist pastors making lame excuses for their ungodly peers who teach a false gospel. When I informed one pastor (a bad graduate of Evangelist Ron Comfort's Ambassador Bible College) that some of his religious tracts in his church teach turning from sins to be saved, he foolishly defended them. His lame excuse was that in order to turn TO Christ, you have to turn FROM something. What a deceiver! My friend, although it is true that we turn TO Christ FROM our sins to be saved, it is NOT TRUE that we turn FROM our sins in order to turn TO Christ for salvation. The former is salvation, the latter is damnation! You are a fool of fools if you defend the heresy of turning from sinful behavior to be saved. If that is what you believe, YOU ARE NOT SAVED!!!

John the Baptist baptized people with water to prepare them to receive the coming Savior, Who would baptize them with the Holy Spirit (i.e., the indwelling Holy Spirit that comes at salvation). John preached a “baptism of repentance for the remission of sins” (Luke 3:3). That is, John was preparing the people, POINTING them to the Messiah. John was making sure that the people knew they were guilty sinners, and that Christ was coming to save them from their sins.
