It Will Be More Tolerable for Sodom

Matthew 11:24, “But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.”

Jesus warned that it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah on Judgment Day, than it will be for modern cities who have heard the Gospel preached again and again. America will suffer far worse than Sodom in the Lake of Fire. Americans are arrogant, stubborn and defiant against God.

America has deteriorated so much over the past century. Hardly anybody cares about anything anymore, except themselves. This is exactly what the Apostle Paul learned. In Philippians 2:20-21, Paul expresses his frustration that he had no one like-minded to serve the Lord with him. Paul said that no one cared about the things of Jesus Christ. Paul was alone.

Today, nearly 2,000 years later, we see the same apathy in the world. Hardly anybody cares. It is so sad that people just don't care about God's Commandments, don't care about truth and don't care about others. Certainly, there are a few people that care; but they are far and few between and your chances of finding such a person is rare.

Jesus plainly told us in John 15:19 that the unsaved, sin-loving, world would reject us, casting us away, separating themselves from us. Satan hates God's children and inspires the unsaved to hate and harm us (Ephesians 2:2). This world is a cruel and horrible place for a Christian to be.

It is sad when I stop and think about all the people who despise God's Word, spit on the name of Jesus and couldn't care less about doing the right thing. Abortion is so evil, it is beyond imagination. How could any mother kill her precious baby? We are such an irresponsible nation! Feminist women have all sorts of excuses, rationalization and sympathetic reasons why abortion is acceptable; yet we never hear a word about fidelity, virtue and being a responsible adult. A person who can murder a child is capable of anything. They have no conscience. I do not condemn anyone, for the Bible condemns all humanity as guilty sinners (Romans 3:19). I am defending “the least of these” who have no voice.

It is sad that women don't care about dressing modestly. In a society plagued with abortion and sexual promiscuity, you'd think that the adults would teach the younger generation to dress and act appropriately. Instead, our nation makes multimillionaires out of the most hideous, Godless, filthy singers imaginable; such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John and Elvis Presley, to name but a few. America loves it's idols! Kids today don't stand a chance in a society that idolizes the most wicked entertainers imaginable. Rock 'N' Roll music is straight out of the pits of Hell. And so is Rap, Hip Hop, House, Funk, Blues, Country and all the other Devil's music that glorifies sin. Perhaps the most wicked of all is Contemporary Christian Music [CCM], which has kept tens-of-millions of churchgoers in the world. Nearly every proponent of CCM attacks the King James Bible, teaches Lordship Salvation and fails to go soul-winning.

I recently went to the grocery store. The shopping mall had a vehicle parked, which was basically a giant speaker on wheels, blasting some filthy whore who was singing about divorce, and how happy she was to be quitting her marriage. No wonder America's kids are going to Hell. The musical idols that kids have today are of the Devil. John Denver said that music is more powerful than Christianity. Music certainly is a powerful spiritual medium.

On Wikipedia, not a word is said about Van Halen's David Lee Roth and his sexually immoral lifestyle. The New York Post reported[1] that Roth used to dole out $100 bills to staffers who brought him the hottest chicks after each concert, to fornicate with behind stage. Roth brags in his music of being a gigolo. Roth was known for his McDonald's drive-thru style, back stage sex orgies. Yet not a negative word is spoken on Wikipedia of this openly public information. Yet, faithful men of God, righteous preachers, are accused of being sex-cult leaders because some former employee 20 years prior committed sexual immorality. What a bunch of evil hypocrites! Wikipedia is all input by society! This just shows the wickedness of America today. Preachers can do no right in the eyes of the wicked! Proverb 29:27, “An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.” God will judge righteously!

While mighty preachers of the Gospel are slandered and made to look like villains; renowned sexual degenerate Rock 'N' Roll singers are praised as good men without a single word being mentioned of their deplorable, filthy, abominable lifestyles. The righteous can do no right in the eyes of this filthy generation. It is the wicked who are in trouble with God. Proverb 30:12, “There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.”

It is sad that Americans flock to SIN CITY New Orleans and SIN CITY Las Vegas by the millions, caring not for the God of the Bible. Oh, how America has forgotten God! Jesus warned us that Sodom would have it better on Judgment Day than the wicked today who have heard the truth repeatedly. Sodom had no Bibles! Sodom had no preachers! Sodom had no churches! Sodom had no Christian books! Sodom had no Christian radio! The truth is all around us today; yet most people walk in darkness, because they love sin (John 3:20). Few people genuinely care about Jesus Christ.

I've known many people to praise God with their mouth, but the heart was far from God. Matthew 15:8-9, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” This is the Catholic Church, which is a false cult, and no church at all. Those who follow the teachings of men are FAR FROM GOD. It is sad that so many people speak of God, while being light years away spiritually from God, because they choose to follow the TRADITIONS of men instead of God's Word. It takes genuine backbone to obey God and stand against the traditions of sinful men. Acts 5:29, “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

The Catholic religion is straight out of the pits of Hell, which is where it's followers are going to spend eternity. This is exactly what Jesus said to the Jews concerning the self-righteous scribes and Pharisees, “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 5:20). Ye must be born again (John 3:5)! We are saved by Jesus' righteousness; and not by our own self-righteous efforts in any way, fashion or form (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8-9). Very few people take the Bible seriously; but they will when they enter into eternity and stand before God in judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

I believe the Bible. I believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word. I only use the precious King James Bible, which is God's preserved, infallible, inerrant and inspired Words in the English language. All modern Bibles are corrupt!

With all the truth we have today, no one has even the slightest excuse not to repent toward God. Acts 17:30, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.” Notice that God winked at their ignorance, not their sin. This is why Jesus said it wouldn't be as harsh for Sodom, i.e., because they were ignorant. But we are not ignorant, we have the Bible in it's entirety. Amen!
