Even the Press Knows Not to Messwith the Bible

"Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." -PROVERBS 30:6

The following was reported by Bible Believer's Bulletin:

The Wall Street Journal and Newsweek both came down defending the King James Bible. They mocked at the marketing gimmicks used to try to push aside the KJV, and they called for the KJV to be restored as the world standard for Biblical authority....

Here is a very useful quote from the Wall Street Journal: "To tamper with the King James Bible, based on some imagined manuscript evidence, is like adjusting Big Ben to somebody's private wrist watch."

I like that last comment because it is descriptive of exactly what is happening―loss of accuracy, change to an inferior product, unreliable, and based on man's judgment.

The Love of Money is the Root of All Evil

Selling the new Bible versions is big business.  That's why there's always new ones popping up.  It's a fad.  They are ALL copyrighted so that you have to get permission and pay money to use them.  Look at God's Book, the Authorized King James Version--NO COPYRIGHT.  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost made sure that it would be accessible to EVERYBODY, without charge.  Anybody that wants to publish the Authorized King James, can, without getting permission nor paying one red cent to do it.  Amen and Amen!

Don't believe it's a money making scheme?  Check this out...

The New International Version (NIV) is a Cash Cow!!!  The NIV and International Bible Society (IBS) are politically and economically motivated.  They are trying to appease everyone and sell them Bibles.  The NIV is not about the truth, it is about making money.  Since the "current accuracy" may change (according to the Bible butchers), that means that in five years they'll have to publish another edition, for people to buy with their hard-earned bucks.  Look at a few of the NIV "editions" that the International Bible Society publishes:

Witness Edition Women's Devotional Bible Men's Devotional Bible
Teen Study Bible Worship Edition Economy Bible
Seasons of Reflection Bible Take-It-Anywhere Bible Ministry Edition Bible
Single-Column Bible Victorian Cover NIrV A Word from Heaven
NIrV Kids' Devotional Bible My First Bible in Pictures The Picture Bible
The Children's Bible Adventures in Odyssey Bible The Beginner's Bible
The Lion Storyteller Bible True Love Waits Bible Free on the Inside Bible,
Campus Ministry Bible Vox DEI NIV NIV New Student Bible
The Journey NIV Crisis Pregnancy Editions Promise Keepers NT
The Road Home NT PathLight Walkin' the Walk NT The Jesus Way Bible
New Covenant Prophecy Edition Hope for the Future NT Couples Devotional Bible
Family Walk Devotional Bible Life Application Bible The Living Insights Study Bible
Camouflage Bible Military NT

And this is not all of them.  The International Bible Society's catalogue offers hundreds of different Bibles.  If this ain't confusion, I don't know what is.  1st Corinthians 14:33 tells us that God is not the author of confusion.  Satan is behind the confusion, because too many people are woefully ignorant of the Scriptures, and without Jesus Christ as Savior.

The new versions don't stop with one Bible.  You've got an NIV Women's Bible, an NIV Men's Bible, an NIV Teen Bible (which falsely tells teens that Catholics are Christians), an NIV Children's Bible, etc.  Paul asked this question, "Is Christ divided?"  NO! We don't need different Bibles for different people.  God only wrote one Book.  Another name for Christ is the Word (John 1:1; Revelation 19:13).  The Word of God is not divided.  The Wall Street Journal is 100% correct on this matter... "To tamper with the King James Bible, based on some imagined manuscript evidence, is like adjusting Big Ben to somebody's private wrist watch."

Ye Must Be Born Again!
