The World is Going to Hell
Many people who claim to be "Christian" are simply--NOT. I'm amazed at how many unbelievers know so much about the Bible, yet ignorantly so. I've met many folks who really gave me the initial impression that they were born-again Believers; but I came to find out quickly that they only had religion, NOT Jesus Christ. Others had "churchianity," but not Christianity.
Sadly, then there are the folks who are true Believers, BUT are dead-beat, do-nothing, critics...those who throw verbal rocks at godly Christians who are soul-winners (those who witness to lost sinners about the wonderful saving gospel of Jesus Christ).
The bottom line is that most Believers are NOT soul-winners!
This is very sad because the world is going to hell in a wheel-barrow. Very few Believers are concerned about the souls of those around them. I heard a deadbeat minister once make a horrible slanderous statement about soul-winners. He said, "I don't believe in shoving the gospel down people's throats." He also said, "I don't believe in churches that put cows up on the roof to get people into church." That man is a fool. The Bible compels us to win souls to Jesus...
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." (Proverb 11:30)
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19,20)
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men..." (2nd Corinthians 5:11)
If a church promotion will bring lost sinners to church to hear the gospel, I say amen. If caring about someone enough to confront them about the eternal destiny of their soul makes me offensive, so be it. People do usually get offended when you tell them their on their way to hell.
But If we don't warn them, then who will?
The Poor are Always with Us
Should
it be surprising that the same synthetic (artificial) believers would also
neglect the cry of the poor? Children
are starving to death while Americans spend billions on feeding and spoiling
their pets. Is it nothing to you? American's only account for 5% of
the world's populations, and yet we consume much more resources than other
nations. In fact, American's consume
26% of the
world's energy. We tout ourselves in pride for the foreign aid we give
to other countries. The truth is that we give peanuts compared to the
masses of wealth which American's posses. Here's a
heart-touching letter I received from
a man in South Africa. It should break your heart, it did mine.
Can you imagine, eight year old girls walking the streets as prostitutes?
It's hard enough to find a true Believer nowadays, let alone a Believer Who loves the Lord enough to share the gospel with lost sinners, and help the less fortunate. We are commanded in the Bible to witness to the people in our life and to help the poor.
Is it nothing to you?
Why stand ye here all the day idle?
Let me ask you a serious question...are you sitting "idle" in your Christian life? Idle in your walk with God? Idle in your efforts to share the gospel of Jesus with those around you? Idle to help the poor. Do you care at all? Are you one of those closet Believers who's ashamed to mention "Jesus?" It's about time that more Christian believers came out of their closets and stood up for Jesus. Go out today and tell someone about Jesus Christ. Tell them how salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ alone...not religion. If we don't reach others for Christ, then who will? Get up off your blessed assurance and go do something for God! We've got too many believers who are sitting on the premises instead of standing on the promises. Come out of your church closet and start doing something for God.
