Comfort and Kirk Cameron are becoming extremely popular with their WAY OF
THE MASTER series. Although their message of "repentance" sounds
good, it is not. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron pervert the
Scriptures, by misrepresenting the Greek meaning of the Biblical word
"repent." The problem is that there is a common
misunderstanding nowadays of the word "repent." Many false teachers today are
saying that "repent" in the Bible means "to forsake one's sins."
Nothing could be further from the Truth of God's Word. In Mark 1:15
Jesus said, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel." The word repent
here is the Greek METANOEO, meaning "to change one's mind."
When a person realizes that they're a GUILTY sinner, under the condemnation
of God's Law, deserving of Hellfire; and then that person believes upon the
Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness--they are saved eternally. We are
the sinners, and Jesus is the Savior. It's that simple. Please

Romans 4:5 couldn't be any clearer... "But
to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Our only
part in being saved is to believe upon the Savior, because of the precious
blood He applied to the Mercy Seat in Heaven for our sins; Salvation
is of God alone.

Now if a person has genuinely repented unto salvation, then there will be a change in that person's life (2nd Corinthians 5:17); BUT, the change comes AFTERWARDS, not as a prerequisite to be saved, as Lordship Salvationists teach. This is what James meant when he said, "Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works" (James 2:18). James is speaking about the FRUIT of our Christian faith; not the ROOT, which Paul speaks of in Romans 4:3-5. In Genesis 15:6, Abraham was justified by FAITH in the eyes of God; BUT in Genesis 22, Abraham was justified by WORKS in the eyes of men when he offered up Isaac (James 2:21). Many people today are confused between these two.
There should be some type of change in a professed Christian's life. Something is very wrong with a group like JC's Girls, who profess to be Christians, who have been praised on The 700 Club; BUT, JC's Girls are of the Devil, still promoting lesbianism, pornography, rock-n-roll, and escort [prostitution] services. Imposters! Although it is true that Christians are still sinners, no genuine believer feels that they have a license to freely sin. If there was true repentance at the alleged time of salvation, then a person's mind will have changed towards sin. This is not to say that a person has to forsake their sins to be saved; BUT, rather, if there was a genuine regeneration of the soul, then the Holy Spirit will convict that child of God about sin (Hebrews 12:6-8).
Kirk Cameron falsely preaches that people should repent FROM their sins to be saved; YET, he himself is worldly and needs to do some repenting of his own...

How could Mr. Cameron say he's never had a desire to leave the cesspool of Hollywood? Who needs to repent? There's not a stinking sewer in America any more repulsive to the nostrils of decency than Hollywood!!! Hollywood is synonymous with taking God's name in vain, homosexuality, lasciviousness, indifference, pride, adultery, lust, greed, violence, pornography, prostitution, booze, mocking God, and every other evil imaginable. They're all living for Satan, whether they realize it or not! And Kirk Cameron says he's never left Hollywood? James 4:4 warns, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." Yet Kirk Cameron says he'd be willing to work with unsaved producers, who curse the name of Jesus Christ, to make more Hollywood movies. So sad!
No Christian should ever yoke up with unbelievers (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). This is what is wrong with so many evangelicals today, like Billy Graham, who is unequally yoked with the blasphemous Catholic Church! The Catholic Church is straight out of the pits of Hell, but you'll never hear that from most evangelicals! Even Jack Van Impe has sold-out to the Mother of Harlots! Jack Van Impe boasts of having spent over 86,000 hours in Bible study! Maybe he ought to get his glasses checked, because he sure missed Mark 7:6-13 and Romans 10:3,4! Sellouts!
What difference is there between the
mumbo-jumbo which Billy Graham teaches, and the basic doctrines of the
Catholic Church? Catholics believe that Jesus died, was buried, and
rose again! Catholics believe in Jesus' deity, virgin birth, sinless
life, and the necessity of Christ's blood sacrifice; BUT, tragically,
they're all going to Hellfire because they've ADDED self-righteousness to
faith. When we witness to lost sinners, we need to let them know that
that Biblical Gospel EXCLUDES all forms
of good works, baptism, the Eucharist, the sacraments, dedication, devotion
to God, commitment to Christ, turning over a new leaf, church membership,
praying the Rosary, confessing to a priest, generosity, supporting a
ministry, forsaking one's sins, etc. If you ADD even one of these to
your faith, then you WILL go to Hellfire in your self-righteousness!
Sadly, Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron have ADDED forsaking one's sins to be
saved. This is known as the damnable heresy of
Lordship
Salvation.

Now this statement came from one of the followers of Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron!!! Something is wrong! It's obvious that this man is not saved, for he is attacking Bible-believing Christians who expose false religion, as being "unChristian." Ephesians 5:11 commands us to expose Satan's works of darkness... "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." That means Kirk Cameron should be exposing Hollywood, not yoking up with them. This means Christians are supposed to expose false religion, not share their commonalities. The word "reprove" comes from the Greek, elencho, meaning, "TO EXPOSE." The Biblical Gospel is very simple--we are SINNERS and Jesus is the SAVIOR; BUT, the Gospel can be perverted so easily, and subtly. We read in 2nd Corinthians 11:3... "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron teach damnable heresy, by requiring people to FORSAKE their actual sins to be saved; YET, Kirk Cameron continues to support the cesspool of iniquity called Hollywood. This is definitely a conflict of interest. Kirk Cameron needs to choose sides--Hollywood or Jesus Christ! Hollywood is 100% diametrically opposed to everything the Word of God stands for and teaches.
