Bush Says Christians and Muslims Worship Same God!

By David J. Stewart | January 2006

How can professed Christians continue to proclaim that George W. Bush is a Christian in lieu of such heretical statements as he made to ABC news correspondent, Charles Gibson...

In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Charles Gibson, Bush said he believes that both Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

"I think we do. We have different routes of getting to the Almighty," Bush said. "But I want you to understand, I want your listeners to understand, I don't get to get decide who goes to heaven. The Almighty God decides who goes to heaven and I am on my personal walk," he said.

What Saith the Scripture?

Christians and Muslims DON'T worship same God.

The Koran plainly teaches that Allah has NO Son. In sharp contrast, the Word of God teaches that God does have a Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

Furthermore, the Koran teaches that Jesus was kidnapped and another died in His place on the cross.

The Koran accuses Christians of being "polytheists" for their Biblical view of the Godhead (the Trinity). The Bible proclaims that Jesus Christ is God Almighty (John 1:1-3,14; John 10:33; 1st Timothy 3:16; Revelation 1:8). Clearly, Allah and Jesus Christ CANNOT be the SAME GOD!

The Koran verses the Bible

Allah is commonly known as the "moon god" going back to the time of the prophet Muhammad. 1st John 2:22, "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." The Koran teaches that Christians are idolaters for not worshipping Allah only.

The Koran teaches it's followers to "slay" the idolaters wherever they may be found in the land. There is NO agreement between the Koran and the Bible. The only harmony which can exist is a total abandonment of one's faith, which is exactly what the New Age movement is all about.

George W. Bush revealed himself as a New Ager when he said, "We have different routes of getting to the Almighty."  This is the main teaching of the New Age movement... just follow the light and you'll get to Heaven. But the Bible warns us that there is a FALSE light which is extremely dangerous, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2nd Corinthians 11:14). This false light is represented by the Eye of Horus atop the pyramid on back of every U.S. dollar bill. The light of the New Age movement, all false religions and Freemasonry is Satan.

Following Jesus from Afar Off?

There is ONLY one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ." Jesus proclaimed in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." I cannot say if Bush is a born-again believer, although I have serious doubts. We find the Apostle Peter in the Bible denying his Lord out of fear (John 18:25-27). Only Mr. Bush and God know if he is truly a Christian.

Most churches today are woefully dead. Most preachers can't preach their way out of a paper bag and have no guts to stand for the truth. Apostasy has set into America like rigor mortis in a dead body. We're beyond code blue in America.

Please understand that I don't condemn anyone, for the Bible condemns all humanity as guilty, dirty, rotten, hell-deserving sinners (Romans 3:10-23; 6:23). We certainly have no right to judge anyone. However, when a high-profile public figure teaches that Christ-rejecting Muslims worship the same God as Bible-believing Christians, then we must refute such false claims. Allah has no son. Jesus on the other hand, is the only begotten Son of God, Who is the Savior.
