He spent 18 years of his life under the ministry of Dr. Jack Hyles of First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, “The World’s Largest Sunday School.” Fourteen of these years, he was one of Dr. Hyles’ assistant pastors. Dr. Owens also served as vice-president of Hyles-Anderson College.
For several years Dr. Jeff Owens has faithfully pastored the great Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church, which is located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The church has become a strong and growing work, running 1,000 average attendance in church, considered to be “One of America’s Most Exciting Churches.” Thousands of souls have been saved through believing the gospel (death, burial and resurrection) of Jesus Christ.
