What About Vatican II?
by David J. Stewart
This article just scratches the surface of Vatican II. A person does not need to read very far into Vatican II to find unbiblical teachings... damnable heresies to be exact. The Bible plainly teaches that salvation is obtained through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from all works of self-righteousness! It is Jesus' blood that washes our sins away, NOTHING else. Vatican II ADDS religious “works” to faith in Christ, thereby making Catholicism a false religion.
The Bible teaches that we are saved by Christ's righteousness (Matthew 6:33; Romans 10:3-4; 2nd Corinthians 5:21) and not by our own self-righteousness (Ephesians 2:8,9,). Catholicism is rooted in complete self-righteousness, requiring strict keeping of the Seven Sacraments (i.e., water baptism, mass, confession, confirmation, last rights, holy unction and marriage to a Catholic).
DOGMATIC CONSTITUTION OF THE CHURCH
Proclaimed By His Holiness Pope Paul VI on November 21, 1964
From Chapter Two: The People Of God:
The following quote is taken directly from Vatican II...
What Blasphemy! I have several things to say in response to the lies and garbage Pope Paul VI said:
1. Pope Paul VI says a person cannot be saved who refuses to enter the Catholic church.
Show me that in the Bible! Show me one verse that says you have to enter (or join) a religious organization to be saved. Jesus said, “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37). The Bible says nothing about coming to Christ through the church. We are taught to come to God the Father ONLY through God the Son... “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1st Timothy 2:5). Has Pope Paul VI lost his mind? The Bible clearly states that there is only ONE Person between us and God the Father—the Lord Jesus Christ.
Catholics base their ASSUMPTION that the Catholic Church is Christ's body today upon the heresy that the Apostle Peter was the first Pope. The Bible never teaches such nonsense. The Bible does not teach about Popes. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church (1st Corinthians 3:11), and no man comes between. The Catholic Church began in the 4th century under the Roman emperor Constantine. It was a false religion from day one. When the Bible speaks about the Body of Christ, it speaks of all true born-again believers; and NOT any organization, such as the demonic Vatican. If you want to go to Heaven, then you had better get saved by trusting Jesus Christ to forgive your sins, and forget the Catholic Church. All those priests are saturated with sins themselves; yet they claim the unscriptural power to forgive men's sins. Who forgives the priests sins then? Do priests confess to each other?
Notice: Pope Paul VI specifically mentioned the “CATHOLIC” church. So if you join a Baptist church, you're going to Hell according to the Pope. How wicked to attach anything to simple faith in Christ!
2. Pope Paul VI also said that a person could not be saved if he or she refused to remain in the Catholic church.
Again, show me that in the Bible? There is no such teaching in God's Word. Our salvation is based upon faith in Christ alone, not anything else... “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). Salvation is a free gift from God, paid for by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. All we have to do is acknowledge our guilt of sin and turn to Christ in faith; thus, receiving God's free gift of forgiveness for our sins and eternal life. If you never step foot into ANY church, you can go to Heaven my friend. The way is through Jesus Christ.
3. Pope Paul VI says that water baptism is a door by which we enter into the Catholic church, which he says is essential to salvation.
First, no church is essential for our salvation. Second, water baptism is NOT essential for our salvation. Listen to the words of the Apostle Paul, “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel...” (1st Corinthians 1:17). If water baptism were necessary for salvation, Paul never would have said such a thing. Water baptism is NOT necessary to be saved. The thief on the cross was not baptized. The only DOOR which you should be concerned about is the TRUE DOOR, JESUS CHRIST ... “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:9).
Again, how wicked for Pope Paul VI to teach people that water baptism is the door, when in reality Jesus Christ is the ONLY Door. The Catholic religion is an arrogant, pompous and stiff-necked religion that pits itself against God. The Catholic Church is a human organization that is far too big for it's own britches. The Pope thinks he's infallible, but he's a big sinner just like you and me. The priests, bishops and cardinals of the Catholic system have lied to billions of people over the centuries, convincing folks that the church is the way to Heaven. No, my friend, the church is a sure road to hell-fire and damnation. Salvation is not found in any religion, it is found in a Person—the Lord Jesus Christ! Religion is the worst thing that has ever happened to this sin-cursed world. Religion binds men and women into spiritual slavery, the blind leading the blind into the depths of the Lake of Fire. Religion wants to fit us with glasses, but the Lord wants to open our eyes.
In conclusion, VATICAN II is Satanic all the way around, no matter how you look at it. VATICAN II is irrefutable evidence that the Catholic Church is straight out of the pits of Hell. In the 1960's, the Catholic church decided to repackage it's heresy to make it more appealing to protestants. The result was Vatican II. You can do a web search on “Vatican 2” and read about it yourself if you'd like, but be forewarned, it is the most boring stuff you'll ever read (and a sure cure for insomnia). I could easily write a large book on all that's wrong with Vatican II, but the article I have shared with you pretty much sums it all up. The Catholic Church thinks it is God. Vatican 2 is of the Devil.
"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." —Romans 10:3,4
