I Need Some Proof

A skeptic writes that he needs some proof to believe the claims of Christ:

"It is hard to sell something that hasn't been seen. Seeing is believing and a picture is worth a thousand words."

Jesus answers in Matthew 12:39-40:

"An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days, and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Jesus rose from the dead and that's the only sign you'll get as an unbeliever. If you won't listen to the Word of God, then nothing will convince you of the truth. Romans 1:20 says that all the proof we need of God is right outside our front door.
Friend, until you get saved you'll never be able to truly grasp the truth of God's Word (1st Corinthians 2:14). The wrath of a holy God abideth upon the unsaved (John 3:36), and the hordes of Hell want you there for eternal damnation. Oh, open your eyes and see! Jesus is good and kind. God came from His dwelling place on high to save you from that torment.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).

Jesus left His throne on High to die on a cross... FOR YOU AND ME. Christ shed His blood at Calvary for our sins. Come to Jesus and find rest for your soul. Trust upon the Lord and become a child of God now. God will become your heavenly Father and give you His Spirit to guide you into all truth (John 16:13). His Holy Spirit will guide and lead you through this life and for all eternity.

We read an amazing Scripture passage in Luke 16, the rich man and Lazarus. Both men died. Lazarus was escorted by angels into Heaven. The rich man went straight to hellfire and torment. He specifically mentions the flames. The rich man had a conversation with Abraham. He begs Abraham to send Lazarus from the dead to warn His unbelieving brothers. Abraham said the following to the Rich man...

"And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." (Luke 16:31).

It is shocking and sad to realize that some folks are so stubborn and hardened in their sin that they wouldn't even repent if a dead zombie came to witness to them. This is exactly what the Bible teaches in Luke 16:31. If a person will NOT listen to the living preachers and the living Word of God, then of a certainty they will NOT listen to the living dead. All the proof you need of God's existence friend is to open your eyes and look around you.

"The heavens declare the glory of God..." (Psalm 19:1).

Jesus is everything that can be desired and all that any sane person could want and more. Jesus is the Lily of the Valley, the Everlasting Father, the Eternal Word, the Savior, the Creator, our Protector, our Lord.

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:9-11).

Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord—this includes Satan, every devil, Madalyn Murray O'Hair, Ted Turner, Hugh Hefner, every false prophet, all the popes, every humanist, and every scoffer (as well as those of us who will be shouting "Glory, Hallelujah! Blessed be the Name of the Lord")! ALL creation will bow to their Creator.

If you don't repent toward God by believing on Christ to forgive your sins, then you will perish. That is a sure thing; It is most sure. God has been merciful to you by allowing you to live another day to repent (2nd Peter 3:9; Proverb 27:1). Please don't die without Jesus. Please don't die in your sins and go to Hell.
You may profess to be an atheist, by there is no such animal. Romans 1:20 says that everything visible is clear evidence of the Godhead and His eternal power... so that they are without excuse (King James Bible).
