       You've probably seen the Tummy Tuck belt advertised on TV, claiming that you can merely wear their belt and lose weight without any change in diet or lifestyle. WRONG!

Doctors Say Tummy Tuck Belt a Scam Though the internet is abuzz with those considering this new weight loss device, the buzz from doctors is anything but positive. According to the trusted and popular cosmetic surgery website RealSelf.com, this product is “a complete waste of money” and “classic quackery at its finest!”

As our text Bible verse says, a poor man is better than a liar! The shady people who sell and advertise the Tummy Tuck Belt are liars! If you watch their commercials closely, they flash tiny find print for about one second that says you need to do moderate exercise and diet in order to lose the kind of weight displayed on your TV screen.

I had to get up out of bed and get real close to the TV to read the tiny fine print, because at a distance you cannot see it, even with glasses! But I had to keep looking for a few minutes to read the fine print a half dozen times in order to capture what it really said. Friend, it you are doing moderate (not light) exercise and dieting, then you will lose belly fat and weight overall WITHOUT the Tummy Tuck belt! So why waste your money?

I lost 70 pounds of weight in 2017 in just 4 months, but gained it all back by 2019. I didn't use any products, scams, pills, powders or belts. I simply walked 3 hours a diet and starved myself, eating only 500 a per day. Then I gained it all back. What did I do wrong? I used a non-sustainable method to lose weight. Starvation yourself is a difficult but sure way to lose weight fast, but it is not something you will be willing to continue doing for the rest of your life, and you WILL fail.

Then I kept trying to lose weight again in 2020, but failed every time. I wondered how I ever had the incredible resolve in 2017 to lose 70 pounds. So then I was blessed to be given a new doctor at the medical clinic that I attended, who taught me about his vegetarian diet. I learned that if you eat a vegetarian style diet, your body will automatically heal itself, including going back down to your proper weight. So by eating a high protein, low carbohydrate diet, eliminating most sugar from my diet, and drinking mostly water, I was able to lose much weight. It took longer than starving myself, but it was 100% successful and this time it was sustainable! I can eat yogurt, fish, chicken, eggs, old-fashioned oatmeal (not instant), sweet potatoes, vegetables, avocado, nuts and low-calorie-density foods for the rest of my life, and lose 50 pounds in a year.

The reason why Americans are so obese is simply because we eat the wrong type of foods. If you're like me, you love sugary pastries, pizzas, burgers, deep friend foods, sodas, milkshakes and eating until you feel full with those fattening type of foods. All of those things WILL make you fat over time. But I learned that I can eat low-calories-density foods until I feel full, and still lose weight! What you eat is critical to losing weight! There is no way that you'll lose weight by wearing a Tummy Tuck belt. It is IMPOSSIBLE! In order to lose weight, you MUST decrease your calorie intake over a period of time, and that is hard when eating junk foods. Losing weight does not require walking or exercising.

In fact, walking and exercising will only increase your hunger and you WILL eat more food than you should! But you CAN eat healthier foods, like sweet potatoes, yogurt and sliced chicken breast on whole grain bread and lose weight. Be careful to limit your bread intake, because even whole grain bread is fattening (it turns to sugar in your body). Eating a high protein diet is the best way to lose weight, because protein burns 40% more calories than other foods. Plus protein makes you feel satiated (full), which helps to curb your appetite. Protein shakes are great! I like to eat two vanilla protein shakes per day, one before I go to bed, and one when I wake up in the morning. Eggs are great to lose weight!

Please don't waste your money on the Tummy Tuck Belt, because it is a BIG SCAM!

If you really want to lose weight, belly fat is the last to go! It all depends on your body's DNA makeup. Some people accumulate fat in different areas than others. For me, most of the fat goes to my belly as I gain weight. When I try to lose my big gut, I have to lose weight in my face, chest and back first before my belly goes down. My belly does decrease in proportion with the rest of my body, but anything over 180 pounds for me all goes to my guy and I look pregnant. My ideal weight is between 140 and 160 pounds. I used to be 225 pounds, looking pregnant and embarrassed.

Losing weight is difficult because we all enjoy eating. Very few people like to eat healthy. But once you start to eat healthy foods, like blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, salads, oatmeal, eggs and fish (I don't want to be a vegetarian, but I like to eat 75% vegetarian diet, which helps tremendously). What you eat today you will crave tomorrow!!! Junk food is addictive, literally! But if you will start eating healthy foods, your body will learn to crave them too! It all starts at the grocery store. If you don't buy the junk foods in the first place, then you cannot eat it. I usually buy one pizza to eat each weekend, using it as a reward for eating healthy all week. Learn to use food as a reward for fasting and eating healthy food to lose weight. But you cannot eat junk food every day and expect to realistically lose weight, because your body will not be happy until your stomach feels full, and you'll fill up on high-calories-density foods.

If you want to lose weight, start small. Go to the store as soon as you can, and buy some oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, chicken breast and whole grain bread. I love baking sweet potatoes. Poke fork holes in the top of the sweet potatoes. Hand rub lightly with extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle brown sugar, salt and pepper onto them. Bake the sweet potatoes in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 45 minutes. They will be soft and delicious, only 114 calories each. I bake the whole 5 pound bag on the weekend and then eat a couple potatoes each day of the week. They make you feel full, are rich in nutrients and will help you lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. Try to eat only 75% of your maintenance calories. What are maintenance calories? This is the amount of calories you need to eat per day to maintain your present weight. Multiple your weight times 10. So if you weight 170 pounds, times ten would be 1,700 calories. This is your maintenance calories.

So aim to eat somewhere between 1,000 and 1,275 calories per day. You will lose 1 pound per week if you eat a 1,275 calories diet. If you can handle eating 850 calories per day, then you WILL lose 2 pounds each and every week. That is 104 pounds you WILL lose in just one year. It is a scientific certainty. Do not watch the floor scale, which will fluctuate as much as 10 pounds from day to day. Eating CarboHYDRATES will cause your weight to greatly fluctuate from water retention. Think HYDRATE when eating carbs. You need carbs in your diet, but try to reduce them. Your daily diet should contain 50% protein (meat, eggs, protein shakes, yogurt); 25% fat (nuts, avocado, butter; dark chocolate); and then 25% for fiber and carbohydrates. Beans is a miracle foods, super high in fiber and protein. Meat is high in protein, but has no fiber. That is why beans are MUCH better for your health than meat. Only 5% of Americans eat enough fiber in their diet, which leads to colon cancer and many diseases of the gut and intestines. Eating one big bowl (one can) of beans each day provides 100% of your required fiber intake. Good deal Lucille! Beans WILL make you feel full.

There are no shortcuts or quick remedies to lose weight. Anyone who claims otherwise is promoting a scam to deceive you for your hard-earned money. The BEST way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat a high protein/ high fiber diet, drastically cutting sugars and carbohydrates (pastas, breads, pastries and rices). You can still eat these foods, but you MUST do so in limited quantities or you WON'T lose weight. Drink only mineral water. I like DaSani. Limit candy bars to no more than 200 calories per day (one bar). Eating baked fish and chicken is wonderful. Avoid frying foods, which requires oil, which contains 120 calories per Tablespoon. When I bake sweet potatoes, I only use enough olive oil to hand coat each potatoes, which helps it bake. Use butter sparingly, which is 120 calories per Tablespoon. You MUST count these easily to overlook calories in your daily calorie intake. If you cut your calorie intake by 25% to 50%, you absolutely WILL lose weight. It is a scientific certainty! Weight yourself each week, to see where you're at. If you gained a little weight, then you know you need to cut calories some. The KEY here is to eat mostly low-calories-density foods. That means you can eat more food!!! We all enjoy eating. You can eat FOUR regular sized sweet potatoes a day and that amounts to only 456 calories total. Fish is very low in calories. One big fillet is only 100 calories.
