God
hates Contemporary Christian Music (CCM). Look at the three men in the
photo to the left. What do you see? If you didn't know that these
are three members of the band Third Day, you'd think they were hit men
or the villains from Superman. What's with the funeral looking clothing?
Look at the three men in the photo to the right. What do you see?
The same thing, except these are the Beegees. Well, there is one
small difference, at least one of the Beegees were smiling. Third Day
looks just like the heathen world. The Word of God commands us as
believers to "Come out from among them (the world) and be ye separate..." (2nd
Corinthians 6:14-17).
I recently received an e-mail from a young woman, defending Christian Rock music, claiming that people do come to Christ through such Devilish music. What she fails to realize is that there is NO such thing as "Christian Rock." In fact, ALL rock-n-roll music is straight from Satan. Young people aren't coming to Christ, they're coming to rock-n-roll, which is more tempting to the flesh than candy is to a baby. Rock is no more Christian than "Christian porno." God's Holy Spirit NEVER leads us to go contrary to the Bible. The Bible, God's Word, clearly warns us about befriending the world. In fact, God calls such people His "enemies" (James 4:4). Although Third Day does use some religious terms and phrases in their songs (even mentioning "the blood of the Lamb" in their song Saved), they FAIL to give a clear Gospel presentation anywhere. Take a look here at Third Day's official website and I triple-dog dare you to show me how to be saved. Show me even a simple presentation of the Gospel. You cannot! The reason is because every CCM artists KNOWS that their fame and popularity is 100% based upon the ROCK MUSIC itself, and NOT upon the message of the music. Proof of this fact is that worldly young people today, and throughout history, have always gravitated towards sensual and fleshly music. It's the music of Satan.
Satan: The Master Deceiver!
Third Day's music is poisonous. Did you know that rat poison is 99% good non-poisonous food? It's true. It's that 1% of poison that is added which kills the rat. Likewise, all these "new" corrupted bibles which are being sold on the market today contain mostly truth. But it's that small amount of Christ-diminishing corruption that leads people into Churchianity instead of into Christianity. This is EXACTLY what is wrong with CCM, it leads people into religion, but NOT to the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just because Third Day employs Biblical terms and phrases here and there is NOT sufficient. We see SATAN QUOTING SCRIPTURES to Eve in Genesis 3:1. We see SATAN QUOTING SCRIPTURES TO JESUS in Matthew 4:6. So what if Third Day utilizes some Biblical terms and phrases, so did Satan to Eve and Jesus! In fact, Satan is still quoting and misquoting Scriptures today-- through CCM, false bibles, and false prophets. Again, I ask you to look at Third Day's website (or ANY other popular CCM artist's website), and show me a Gospel presentation. For CCM fans to claim that the Gospel message is in the music is absurd. That's like someone claiming to open a gambling casino to reach people for Christ, by giving it a religious theme to make it LOOK righteous; but, the honest truth is that it would be of the Devil.
If Third Day decided to present the
Romans Road from the Bible (Romans 3:10,23;5:12;6:23;5:8;10:9-13), they
would get a lot of criticism from their fans, accusing them of shoving the
truth down people's throats and button-holing their fans. They're
popularity would definitely start to drop. The reason is simply because
ALL of their fans are carnal. Don't you see friend, CCM is a DEAD-END!
Worldly young people aren't coming to Christ, but to rock-n-roll. And
that's as far as they'll ever get. The world is filled with such
spiritually dead religious people who have never been born-again in Christ
Jesus. There is not one Scripture in the entire Bible that says we
should cater to carnal Christians by endorsing their carnality. In fact,
the Apostle Paul ripped and scathed the church at Corinth for their immaturity
and carnality. Paul wrote 1st Corinthians to rebuke them and set them on
the right path. But Paul had to REBUKE them. Paul didn't try to
reach them with a message embedded in worldly music. No, rather, Paul
was direct and didn't use any music to reach them. Christian rock is a
Devil's lie. The lost world needs the Truth. If they won't come to
the Truth of God's Word, then embedding Christian messages into Devilish music
is NOT going to reach them either. I've never known anyone to be saved
because of sinful music, although some CCM fans will claim so. It is
simply a lie. The proof of this is obvious. Every unsaved Catholic
has no problem listening to the music of Third Day, MercyMe,
TobyMac, etc. And they're not coming to Jesus Christ to get saved.
But the fans are praising the band. The fans are making the band and
their producers rich. Truly, the world has gone into apostasy and Satan
is greatly pleased with "Christian Rock" music.
Holy Spirit or Familiar spirit?
Rock music in ALL forms is sinful because it appeals only to the flesh. Music is extremely spiritual in nature. Romans 8:14 teaches that the believer is to be led by the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit)...
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
CCM does NOT have God's Spirit. This is evident from the worldly clothing, the proud look on the artist's faces, the lack of Biblical separation from the world, and the fact that none of them present the simple Gospel on their websites. CCM artists are not LED by the Spirit of God; but by the regulations, standards, and policies set by the greedy heathens who own and control the CCM industry. Jesus, nor anyone else in the Bible, ever tried to reach the lost for Christ by appealing to the selfish flesh, let alone with worldly music...

MercyMe sang "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" on the godless Jay Leno show (The Tonight Show) December 13th, 2005. This is not separation from the world. Something is very wrong with a group of professed "Christians" who knowingly go onto a heathen pervert show that is homosexual friendly. Third Day is NO different, they look and act as worldly as can be. In information provided from Ball State University concerning an upcoming February 2006 concert by Third Day, we read...

Do you think Jesus would appear on The Tonight Show? If you do, you know nothing of Christ. The Tonight Show honors homosexuals, promotes lasciviousness, pornography, and everything else wicked and vile to God Almighty. Let me tell you just how wicked The Tonight Show is. In July of 2004, godless PLAYBOY.com launched the vile "Women of Home Depot" pictorial, showcasing six of the retailer's "sexiest" female employees. Listen to what was reported by CNN staff reporter Parija Bhatnagar, on July 6th, at CNNMoney.com...
"The pictorial, which is exclusively on Playboy.com, features six models including a sales associate, a supervisor and a cashier. Playboy.com paid the models for the feature but would not disclose the amount.

"Maybe 'Women of CNN' will be next," he joked.
"I'm sure there are a lot of nervous brands out there," he added. "We have between six to eight names that we're considering. One idea is a 'Women of fast-food' spread.
"The whole idea of this feature is to surprise people with the unexpected. People thought the Wal-Mart idea was a joke but the real beauty of it was the enormous buzz it created. We knew it would be a success when Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien joked about it."
Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien are servants of Satan, doing MUCH to corrupt and destroy the morality remaining in America. The Word of God calls them FOOLS for mocking sin, "Fools make a mock at sin..." (Proverb 14:9). It is evil to make fun of sin or those who commit sin. Romans 1:32 reads "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Pornography is no joking matter, it is a wicked abomination in God's eyes. Yet, TV's late night hosts joke about it. How in the name of decency can Third Day, MercyMe, or any professed group of "Christians" accept an invitation to appear on a godless TV show which promotes the most hideous evils and debauchery on earth? I mean, The Tonight Show has often invited immoral women who have posed naked as Playboy centerfolds. Third Day has NO business appearing on a TV show that also promotes Playboy porn stars.
Don't you tell me that Third Day is being led by the Holy Spirit of God! God would NEVER lead any Christian to appear on such a wicked show as The Tonight Show, where porn stars and open homosexuals also appear. Jesus would NOT appear on such a vile show that mocks sin, glorifies unrepentant sinners, and blasphemes the things of God. No way!!! Jesus would do exactly what the Spirit of Christ has led me to do...EXPOSE the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).
I don't see Third Day doing anything more for young people than taking their money and receiving their praises. They are singing in the spirit of greed and selfishness, otherwise they'd present the Gospel. Which brings me to my next point.
Who's Praising Who?
The following is a quote by Third Day's lead singer, Mac Powell. This is from an exclusive interview with Mr. Powell by Family Christian Stores...
"Usually, worship has been about a third of the show. This last tour, it was more of like a two-thirds instead of one-third."
Bands like Third Day claim that they are praising and worshipping God, but who are the millions of fans praising? Who's getting the fan's money? Who's pictures are on the fan's walls? Who's pictures are on the album cover? Who's kidding who here? It is obvious to anyone who WANTS to see the truth that CCM's artists are getting much more praise and worship than the God of the Bible is. If Third Day truly cared about the souls of their fans, then they would present the simple plan of salvation, the Gospel of Jesus Christ on their website. This is serious folks, these are professed "Christians" who are praised by millions of young people around the world. And yet they are silent concerning the truth. They WILL give account to God for every one of their fans who NEVER heard the Gospel. Jesus is going to say to Third Day, "You imposters became rich and popular using My name, but you never preached the Gospel to your fans. They looked up to you, and you never told them the truth for fear of becoming unpopular." I can hear them now, arguing with God, trying to defend themselves, saying, "But Lord, did we not sing about your blood and your love?" There is a passage of Scripture in the Bible, in Matthew 7:21-23, concerning such people...
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied (or sang) in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (i.e., giving away food, helping the poor) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The tears will flow one day for groups like Third Day. They are popular for a reason, but it's not because of their message, nor is it because of the Lord Jesus. John the Baptist ended up getting his head cut off for telling Herod that it was sinful for him to live in adultery with his brother's (Philip's) wife, Herodias. Herodias heard what John had said. She hated the truth so much that she conspired to have John the Baptist murdered. Now compare this in contrast to the CCM gang today who doesn't dare offend anyone with the truth. Their message contained in the music is so watered down that it is powerless to influence anyone for God. John wasn't afraid to speak the truth, he had nothing to lose. I can guarantee you that if Third Day or any other CCM singers were anything like John the Baptist, they'd be living in poverty just as John the Baptist. You can deny the truth, but you CANNOT change it. Most CCM is of the Devil.
Deceived Catholics claim they are not worshipping Mary, while bowing upon the ground to her statue, and saying 53 "hail Mary's" during the daily Rosary prayer." They are absolutely worshipping Mary, according to every definition of the word! The Word of God condemns such wicked practices, it is idolatry. Yet, Catholics foolishly deny that Mariolatry is idolatry. They are greatly deceived. Likewise, CCM fans claim that they are not praising and worshipping the musical artists, while their minds are utterly consumed with the band members. They are deceived, just as the Catholics. There used to be a popular shirt worn in the 1970's and 80's which read, "I gave my soul to rock-n-roll." Another slogan was, "I grew up on rock-n-roll." Only an ignorant fool would deny that rock-n-roll is a religion of immoral sex, substance abuse, and worldly music. CCM is a religion, which conveys it's own philosophies and beliefs (the belief's of it's carnal and mostly unsaved producers).
Christian Rock artists are praised as gods by their fans, which is openly admitted by secular rock musicians. Rocker Frank Zappa (who discovered the awful truth December 4, 1993 the second he died) proudly boasted: "I'm the devil's advocate. We have our own worshippers who are called 'groupies.' Girls will give their bodies to musicians as you would give a sacrifice to a god." (Peters Brothers, What About Christian Rock, p. 17). If you think Christian rock bands don't experience the same euphoria, then you are greatly deceived.

meaning of worship and his work with new band, Forty Days...
"Also another thing that God's been teaching me is the unity of the body of Christ. He really wants us to join together. He says, "Just as I have loved you, you must love one another." So it's time that we tear down denominational walls and time that we tear down racial barriers and social barriers and things that separate us and come together hand in hand and start loving one another. That's when the world is going to know who we are. They're going to know who we are by our love for one another. That's what the Lord's been teaching us and wanting us to share with people."

What a bunch of lies! Talk about New Age mentality. Satan couldn't be prouder of Third Day's Mac Powell. The Devil is a master deceiver. Satan gets unsaved people into religion through "Christian" rock or rap, and then even gets them to sing praises to god, but it's NOT the God of the Bible. Jesus CLEARY taught in John 4:24 that you CANNOT worship God without two things: ) Spirit, 2) Truth. The "Spirit" is the Holy Spirit that ONLY a born-again Christian can have. The "Truth" is the Word of God, not religious phraseology. The method in which CCM artists present the Word of God is in tiny fragments. This ensures that no complete thoughts are ever formed in the minds of the listeners. Thus, they get religion, but not the Truth which can be comprehended and understood. This is why CCM artists are so popular. They can mention a whole bunch of Truths in twisted fragments they never amount to a clear Gospel presentation.
Look again at the quote by Mac Powell above, he claims that Jesus "wants us to join together." On the contrary, the Word of God commands us to "separate" from unbelievers (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). The Word of God also commands us to separate from carnal believers, "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat" (1st Corinthians 5:11). Did you read that? An idolater! This means we are forbidden from uniting with Romans Catholics. Every Catholic calls them self a "Christian." But they certainly are not according to the Word of God. Jesus said he came to SEPARATE people, "For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law" (Matthew 10:35). What did Jesus mean? He simply meant that the truth DIVIDES people. Jesus meant that it's better to be divided over truth, than to be united by error. According to the CCM camp, and Mac Powell, we're supposed to unity at all cost. The Word of God commands us to separate, not unite. Should godly, soul winning, separated Christians unite? Yes, of course; but that's NOT what Mac Powell is talking about. Mac Powell said,
"So it's time that we tear down denominational walls and time that we tear down racial barriers and social barriers and things that separate us and come together hand in hand and start loving one another."
"Things that separate us?" Mr. Powell is talking very foolish. What things separate us (professed Christians)?
Many professed Christians are NOT Christians, but are unsaved, bound for Hell in false religion. This would include all Lutherans who follow Martin Luther's damnable teaching on baptismal Regeneration. This would include the cult of Mormonism, and the cult of the Jehovah's Witnesses who claim to be Christians. This would include the cult of Seventh Day Adventism who teach that faith alone in Jesus Christ is not sufficient to be saved; thus, they teach a works salvation. This would include the Baha'i faith who also claim to be Christians, but teach that there are many paths to the light (which is in direct contrast to the Words of Jesus in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." It's that simple friend. So Mac Powell of Third Day is a heretic when he says that we should tear down all denominational walls. What people need Mac is the Gospel, and you're not even sharing it with people on your website. Your words are contradictory. Romans 1:16 declares that people can only be saved through the power of the Gospel, nothing else. What about the heresy of speaking in tongues Mac? Are we supposed to unite with Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, and all the others imposters who take advantage of people's sicknesses to get rich? You've got to be kidding Mac?
Tear down the racial barriers? What are you talking about Mac? God placed this barrier upon mankind (Genesis 11:4-8). Now I'm not against anyone, and interracial marriage is honored by God if it's between two Christians (Hebrews 13:4; 2nd Corinthians 6:14), but it is sinful to deliberately erase what God has set in place just for the sake of promoting a New World Order.
Social barriers? Wow Mac, now you really sound like a New Ager. It sounds like you're asking us to accept homosexuality. I ran across a sickening website the other day called Christiangays.com, how much longer will it be before mainstream Christianity is predominately homo-friendly? And then Mac goes into the classic love, love, love thing to really brainwash unsuspecting people who don't know what the Word of God teaches. Does the Bible teach us to love one another? Yes, absolutely; but you can't just do like Mac Powell, taking only the portions of Scripture that fit your agenda. The same God that told us to LOVE others, also told us to SEPARATE from unbelievers and Christians who live in sin. The same Jesus who went about doing good, also made a whip and drove the CCM crowd out of the synagogue who had turned God's house into a den of thieves (John 2:15). Making money had become more important than the Truth of God, which is exactly what the CCM gang is guilty of. Can you imagine Jesus flipping tables over, throwing things around like a madman, hitting people with a whip? Well, He certainly did, and it's recorded in John 2:15. You don't know Jesus too well Mac, He said He came to separate families in Matthew 10:35. Did Jesus mean that we should separate from our families? No, what Jesus was saying is that families will often reject their own for deciding to follow Christ and the Truth God's Word. This is why I said earlier that if Third Day legitimately took a stand for the Truth of God's Word, the world would reject them as soon as they found out. You carry a Bible Mac and the world (your fans) will give you up!

Who are Popular with the World?
The Apostle Paul was not very liked (Galatians 4:16). Jesus was not very liked, the Jews had Him crucified. Jesus clearly said that the world would HATE US, not love us. John 15:19 declares...
"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."
One only needs to look at the album covers of the CCM performers to see that they are OF THE WORLD. Therefore, just as Jesus said, the world accepts them. If Third Day placed the Gospel on their website, that would jeopardize their "worldly status." Any indication that Third Day is not of the world, and the world will hate them. Galatians 6:7 promises that GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED. Third Day and other CCM artists are mocking God by yoking with the unsaved, fellowshipping with the works of darkness, and leading young people into a Gospeless form of pseudo-Christianity. Third Day are fools for Satan and will reap what they are sowing one day when they face their Creator.
