Scripturally Ignorant Believer Supports Obama

By David J. Stewart

Here's a quote from a so-called “Christian” website I found that really evidences the level of Scriptural ignorance in many believers today . . .

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008, something really great happened.  Barack Hussein Obama was elected to be the 44th President of the United States of America.  Some of you who know me and my beliefs or have read this page before may ask why I say this is a great thing.  While I certainly differ with President - Elect Obama on several issues, I think it is great that America has elected a black man.  Besides, my understanding of scriptures tells me that I should pray for him because he has been given authority by God.

First, there is nothing “really great” about Barack Hussein Obama being elected U.S. President. It is a sad day in American history. Obama is a closet Communist, having no allegiance to American sovereignty or Christian principles upon which America was established. In fact, it was former Senator Barack Obama who declared that the U.S. is “no longer a Christian nation.”1 Sadly, he's right, evidenced by the manner in which America spits on God!

It is apostasy for any professed “Christian” to support, praise or vote for someone as far from Biblical Christianity as Barack Obama. I am not trying to be unkind; but the truth needs to be told. We are in a spiritual battle in America for Christianity, family values and freedom itself. Barack Obama does have many positive qualities. Yes, he's dynamic, decisive and a strong leader; but so was Adolf Hitler (who claimed to be a Christian by the way). Despite Obama's positive attributes as a leader, Christians must not buy into the lying propaganda and rhetoric. Obama is anti-life, anti-gun, anti-family, anti-Christianity and anti-American.
