Luke 12:21, “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
The subject of money upsets many people, because they love it. 1st Timothy
6:10 tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil. It's not
money; but rather, the love of money that is the root of all evil, and it
certainly is. God pity the person who loves money, because they will be a
pauper in eternity.
Sadly, most churchgoers today are wasting their money. While America waxes worse and worse with wickedness, immorality and apostasy, America's churches have never been fatter with tithes and offerings.
Never before have church leaders taken so many vacations to the Holy Land, while 35,000,000 Americans are receiving Food Stamps.
Never before have so many so-called Christian leaders driven nicer cars, ate better meals and lived in more luxurious homes. Yet, our nation's churches are eerily silent concerning the evils of Harry Potter, abortion, homosexuality, divorce, feminism, Evolution, HollyWEIRD, SIN CITY Las Vegas, Hellivision, government tyranny, filthy cable TV, et cetera.
Jeremiah 7:8-11, “Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.”
The creation of the 501C3 non-profit organization by the U.S. government in the 1950's was the downfall of our nation's churches. I recently heard the pastor of one of America's largest Baptist churches brag about being a 501C3 organization. Prey tell me, why? Do you like Communism? Do you like being controlled by the government? Do you like being forbidden to expose government tyranny and blatant crimes being committed by our nation's top leaders? Do you like turning a blind eye to treason? Phooey on a 501C3 organization, for God controls the Church, not the government.
Jesus never founded an organization. Jesus plainly taught that the Kingdom of God is within the soul of the believer (Luke 17:21). The New Testament Church had no church building; but rather, met in believer's homes (Philemon 1:2). The 501C3 organization wasn't a problem decades ago; but today is a big problem, because of the increasing government tyranny in America. 501C3 organizations are legally forbidden to criticize the government. It's no different than Nazi Germany. Today, 501C3 churches are choking on their free meal. There comes a time when we must choose between God and men. The time is now my friend. Tyranny is upon us in America.
The government is quick to cry “separation of Church and State” when a pastor takes a stand against government crimes; but the government has no qualms about recruiting pastors to join their Clergy Response Teams. It is treason. I am not anti-government, God forbid; I am anti-evil and anti-corruption. Our government used to be “by the people, for the people and of the people.” Today, it is “for the corporations, by the corporations and of the corporations.” It is tragic that Americans are losing their homes, their jobs, their savings, their pensions, their insurance and the rug out from under them, because of our wicked leaders who have betrayed us; while America's pastors for the most part couldn't care less.
The saddest thing of all is that so many ignorant churchgoers continue to support apostate pastors. The word “minister” means “servant.” Ironically, most ministers serve themselves. There is so much arrogance amongst religious leaders today. In Luke 12:21, the Bible calls anyone a fool who is not rich toward God. To be “rich toward God” does not mean being rich toward an apostate minister. Everything that we own belongs to God. The teaching of a 10% tithe is unbiblical. Some people ought to give much more, and some cannot give hardly anything. But certainly you ought not to give money to an apostate ministry where the pastor and his staff thrive financially as fat cats.
The average churchgoer has been brainwashed to believe that they are giving to God by giving to any church. However, if that church is not a soul-winning church, and a corrupt Bible is being used, and there is no stand against sin in the community, and the doctrines of Christ are not contended for, then that religious group is nothing more than a mere social club. Americans give billions of dollars every year to all sorts of so-called charities and churches; but the work of God is not done. They are wasting God's money. They have turned God's house into a den of thieves. Romans 10:15 teaches soul-winning. Proverb 11:30 teaches soul-winning. Matthew 28:19-20 teaches soul-winning. 2nd Corinthians 5:10-11 teaches soul-winning. Yet the average pastor has his head buried in his pocketbook, being more concerned about increasing revenues than offending people with the truth of God's Word.
If you tithe and give offerings to a church that supports government tyranny, then you're part of the problem. I recently saw the inspiring movie, THE HIDING PLACE, about a Christian Jewish family that survived the Nazi occupation of Holland.
