Why Christians Shouldn't Support Ray Comfort's Film '180'

Ray Comfort's ministry, LIVING WATERS, has produced a new propaganda documentary titled, “180.” The video has gone viral on YouTube with over 2,778,724 views so far.

Every Christian should ban this video because it promotes a false gospel message of works-salvation. At 30:08 Ray Comfort perverts the gospel message by telling a woman that it's not enough to admit that she is a sinner, she must also turn from sin (clearly implying that a person must stop sinning to get saved). If confessing one's sins is not enough, then clearly Ray Comfort expects the person to amend their ways in order to be saved. This is a false gospel of self-righteousness.

This false doctrine is known as "Lordship Salvation." To no surprise, Mr. heretic himself, John MacArthur is the first person listed as an endorser of the film 180. Their activist website is HeartChanger.com. John MacArthur teaches the same demonic plan of salvation as the Seventh Day Adventist cult, that is, that it's the life we live and not the words we speak that determines our eternal destiny. Whereas Biblical salvation is instant and eternal, MacArthur's salvation requires a life of submission and total surrender to be saved. John MacArthur is a dangerous Bible corrupter and so also is Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron.

Making Salvation Hard

Although the 180 video propagates a Biblical pro-life message against abortion, the fact cannot be ignored that Ray Comfort continues to also propagate a false gospel. Please read, I NEVER KNEW YOU exposing Ray Comfort and numerous other false prophets lurking within our churches today.

There are not two different gospels. Either a person MUST stop living a lifestyle of sin to get saved, or they don't.

Lordship Salvationists (Calvinists) make salvation hard and difficult...

Ray Comfort's gospel bypasses growth in grace...

Clearly, Lordship Salvationists (who are basically Calvinist in their false doctrines), teach a doctrine of Devils concerning salvation. It is sad. The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 2:21, “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Galatians 2:21 plainly teaches that Jesus died for nothing if salvation can be merited by obeying the Law. The entire reason why Jesus came to shed His blood and die upon the cross is because we can't save ourselves. We cannot pay our own sin debt. It is impossible!!!

The irony is that ministers like Ray Comfort are familiar with Galatians 2:21, yet they maintain that a person must keep the Mosaic Law to be saved. They'll say in one breath that they don't believe keeping the Law is required for salvation; but then they hypocritically say in the next breath that you cannot be saved if you continue to break the Law. Woe unto Ray Comfort and his false gospel.

In essence, Ray Comfort is teaching inverted Roman Catholicism. Whereas Roman Catholics require members to keep God's Laws to get to Heaven; Ray Comfort requires people to stop breaking God's Laws to get to Heaven. It's the SAME THING in effect!!! Either way it is an errant false gospel of obtaining salvation through self-righteousness! You don't get saved by doing good, and you don't become lost by doing bad.

Whereas Roman Catholics require members to keep God's Laws to get to Heaven; Ray Comfort requires people to stop breaking God's Laws to get to Heaven.

SALVATION
(a book I wrote based upon my own 7-year battle with the assurance of my salvation)

Where The Burden Rests In Salvation

If you acknowledge that you are a guilty sinner, believing upon the gospel of Jesus Christ as payment for your sins, then you are saved eternally (Romans 4:5-6).

Romans 4:5-6, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.”

Salvation is simple, easy, not hard, and freely offered by God to anyone who wants it.

Revelation 22:17, "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."

Forgiveness for the Worst Sinner

“When you get saved, you get saved not because you deserve it, but because you simply let God save you and because you confess your own poor sinful state and your inability to save yourself.”

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
