Invest in Gold... Streets of Gold

Revelation 21:18, 21, “and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass."
With the devaluing dollar falling like a rock, many people are turning to gold as a safe investment. Unlike paper money which is only worth the paper it's printed on, gold has intrinsic value that can never be lost. Gold and other precious metals retain their value.
Albeit, all the wealth and precious metals in this world cannot buy joy, peace and eternal life. The greatest things in life aren't things. God's salvation is totally free, paid for by the literal blood of Jesus Christ (1st Peter 1:18,19).
You cannot buy the stairway to Heaven my friend. You either come to God the Father by faith in the Son of God, or else you suffer the wrath of an angry God in the flaming fires of Hell forever (2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). Tragically, most Jews and Arabs today, both descendants of Abraham, reject Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God. Islam and Judaism alike deny that Jesus is the Messiah, nor that He is the Son of God. 1st John 2:22 calls them liars and antichrists. Ye must be born-again (John 3:5).
The Bible is adamant that the only way to God the Father, and that is through God the Son. There is NO salvation apart from the name of Jesus . . .
“Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. NEITHER IS THERE SALVATION IN ANY OTHER: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
This is true wealth, for eternal life will last for ever and ever. We were born with nothing and we will die with nothing. You cannot take a penny with you into eternity. But you can take changed lives, souls led to Christ, and all that you do for Jesus' sake and the gospel's. 'Tis one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last.
The Word of God speaks of a street of gold in Heaven. The word "street" refers to a Main Street, a gathering place in the downtown area. The Bible uses the word "street" as singular, not plural. I've often heard the term "streets of gold"; but the Bible only mentions one street, and I believe it will be the main meeting place by the throne of our precious Lord and Savior. Oh, how beautiful Heaven must be!
There will be no pollution, no dirt and no garbage laying around like we see in the cities of America. It is a shame when people toss their garbage out their car window, or dump trash alongside the road, or throw their wrappers on the ground, or toss their beer cans everywhere. You can travel from coast-to-coast in America and every poor area has garbage all over the place, because people don't care about someone else's property. It is sad. Heaven won't be like that.
The hallmark quality of a born-again Christian is caring. You are not a good Christian if you lack concern for others. We are living in a selfish generation. Jesus commanded us to lay up treasures in Heaven (Matthew 6:20). We do this by soul-winning and living for God. I couldn't care less about being rich in this sinful world. I don't want silver and gold. I don't care about having a big retirement for the government to steal away. I'm laying up eternal treasures in Heaven where neither rust nor rust doth corrupt, and neither do thieves break through and steal. Jesus is precious!
