Complacent Christians and the Bible!

I am grieved when I hear other folks (who claim to be Christians), criticizing those of us who take a stand for what is right.  A perfect example of this is our stand upon the King James Bible as God’s preserved Word. Without a doubt, believers are far too complacent on the issue of the Bible.  The same believers who can recognize a false religion (such as the Jehovah Witnesses) fail to recognize that Satan has infiltrated our churches with false bibles.  Do you have any idea just how important the Bible is to God?

 

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” (Psalm 138:2)

 

Did you read that?  “…FOR THOU HAST MAGNIFIED THY WORD ABOVE ALL THY NAME!!!”

 

God’s Word is more important than God’s name!!! 

 

“Therefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” (Philippians 2:9,10)

 

There is NO NAME higher than the precious name of Jesus, but there is a higher Book—The Word of God.  Why does God magnify His Word above His name? --Because if God’s Word is unreliable, then God’s name is unreliable.  If God’s name is unreliable, then God is unreliable.   Do you see why the Bible is important to God?  You should!   God Almighty has many names, none higher than “Jesus.”  “Jesus” is the name which God uplifts, the name which He prefers to be called, the Name which is ABOVE EVERY other name.  Yet, God lifts His written Word higher than the name of Jesus! 

 

Do you remember when God gave mankind the rainbow as a token of His promise never to destroy the earth again with water? God thought it was important to backup His promise with a token (guarantee).  Did you know one reason why God gives us the Holy Spirit is so that the Holy Spirit will be a “pledge” to us that we belong to Him?  The moment you accept Christ, you belong to God.  Jesus loves you so much that He wants you to know you belong to Him.  God has placed a “down-payment” on each and every one of His children—that “down-payment” is the Holy Spirit. 

 

“That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:12-13)

 

My friend, “YOU” are the purchased possession if you are a born-again child of God.  The word “earnest” in Strong’s Concordance means: “money which in purchases is given as a pledge or down-payment that the full amount will subsequently be paid.”  Hence, the Holy Spirit is God’s constant reminded within our soul that we have a great inheritance in Heaven awaiting us.  The poorest believer in Heaven will be richer than the richest man who has ever lived upon this earth. 

 

Notice from Ephesians 1:12-14 that we are “sealed” with the Holy Spirit of PROMISE!!!  God is a promise-making God, and a promise-keeping God by the way.  The Holy Spirit is God’s PROMISE to us that He will finish what He has started, that we are His property indeed, that we have an inheritance awaiting us in Heaven, and that the Devil cannot touch us with a ten-foot pole unless God Almighty permits it.  We are God’s property!  Jesus has placed the down-payment of His Spirit within you, He is coming back to claim you as His rightful property when the time comes. 

 

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (I Corinthians 6:19).

 

We belong to God!  God has given us His Holy Spirit to prove it.  This is God’s token of promise to us.  God calls His Spirit, the “Spirit of Promise.”  What a wonderful truth!!!  God is a God of His Word—He says what He means and means what He says.  This is why we should make a fuss over the Bible—Because God didn’t write hundreds of Books, He wrote just ONE!  I believe the Authorized 1611 King James Bible to be that Book in English. 

 

Folks, this stuff is real!  I’ve heard numerous believers’ say foolish things; such as, “We should all get along as Christians and not argue over trifle things like which version of the Bible to use.”  Though I understand their perspective, they are wrong.  Yes, I agree that we should get along—But not at the expense of truth.  Read this statement:

Did you get that?  Let me say it again…

The problem is that many of God’s children place their PRIORITIES on unity and fellowship, at the expense of truth.  This is because God’s children are WILLFULLY ignorant of the truth—This has always been the problem.  Read the following Scriptures:

 

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6)

 

Notice that the Bible calls the following adults, “children.”

 

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” (Ephesians 4:14)

 

Are you childish in your thinking?  Or are you grounded in God’s Word? 

 

“As also in all his (Paul’s) epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (II Peter 3:16)

 

Many believers are unlearned and unstable; they have never grown up in the Lord.  They are still little children in their spirituality.   They think the whole King James matter is a big joke.   Do you think Psalm 138:2 is a joke.  If you do, you have problems.   God has elevated His Word above His name, that’s how important the Bible issue is. 

 

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (II Corinthians 2:11)

 

One of Satan’s devices is fake, imposter, counterfeit bibles—are you still ignorant?

 

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren…” (I Thessalonians 4:13)

 

It is a shame how many of God’s children have ignorantly fallen for the devil’s counterfeit bibles.  I believe the god of this world (Satan) is the father of the New International Version (NIV), as we’ll as ALL other modern translations.  The old 1611 King James Bible has stood the test of time. We don’t need another Bible in this country—We need revival!  I think the following Scripture tells us why Zondervan and other ungodly people have corrupted the word of God:

 

“Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.” (Isaiah 56:11)

 

If you love the Lord friend--trash your NIV, ASV, NKJV, etc, etc…and go get yourself a real Bible, the King James Bible!
