What's Behind the Church Walls?
By David J. Stewart
| I can picture Moses if he were alive
today, going to America's pastors and crying aloud... "LET MY
PEOPLE GO!" The tragic fact is that believers all across
America (with few exceptions) are sealed up in their church
buildings, doing virtually nothing to make a difference for God in
their local communities. This is so sad.
Most of today's church congregations sing a few songs, tithe to support a deadbeat minister, pray a few prayers, listen to a weekly sermonette―while sin abounds in their local community and never a word is spoken against it by the church. Psalm 96:16,17 state... "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence." Notice that David said it was THE LORD who gave Him the strength to take a stand and fight against evil. Thank God for those few faithful Christians who love the Lord enough to take a stand against sin...
So many churches today are doing NOTHING for God. The average church today is nothing more than an activity center for the elderly. Churches are dying as the old pass away, because the young are not interested in dull, boring, and lifeless church services. America's pastor's are to blame. Then there's the foolish pastor who compromises his standards, employing the Devil's music (aka, "Christian Rock") as a means of luring young people to come to church. This is evil. All Rock 'n' Roll music is of the Devil, for that is where it originated. What America desperately needs today is preachers who walk with God―men who uphold the integrity of the King James Bible, preach uncompromisingly against sin as did Billy Sunday, contend for the Christian faith, preach Hell-fire and damnation, and love people with an unconditional love. Thank God for those few faithful Christians who love the Lord enough, and people enough, to stand for the truth... Rise up oh Christian! Rise up! Let your light shine for Jesus Christ!!! We read in Matthew 5:14-16... "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Away with church-pew Christianity! Away with padded-carpet Christianity! Away with chandelier Christianity! America needs some John the Baptist rebels, who go against the grain and make the populace angry with the truth of God's Word. Thank God for the "unorthodox" crowd who are willing to be politically incorrect, swim upstream, and tell this sin-cursed world that they are Hellbound in apostasy, rebellion, and sin against God, and that there is NO hope without Jesus Christ. Thank God for the Philadelphia Eleven...
Michael Marcavage, founder of REPENT AMERICA, is Arrested for Preaching the Bible What's behind your churches' walls? Does your local community have any idea what your church congregation believes, stands for, or cares about? Do they know you care? The word "occult" simply means hidden. 2nd Corinthians 4:4 tells us that Satan is the god of this sinful world, and he disguises himself (2nd Corinthians 11:13,14) because his nature is evil. Satan is a master deceiver, counterfeiter, and liar. This is why occult groups today, such as the diabolical Freemasons, operate in secrecy, to where only a select few members realize the true nature of their organization. How tragic that most churches today also operate in secrecy, to where no one in the local community knows what they believe. The Bible gives us an example to follow in the Biblical book of Acts. In Acts 7 we see that Stephen was stoned to death because the people didn't like what he was preaching. In Acts 12 we find James being executed by Herod, again because of his preaching. On numerous occasions the Apostle Paul was beaten, threatened, imprisoned, and nearly lynched by an angry mob. The early Christians took the Gospel message to the streets, preaching publickly door-to-door (Acts 20:20). Would to God that believers today would rise up out of their comfortable church-pews and get busy for God. It was the mighty Evangelist Billy Sunday who said...
Billy Sunday's words stand as a testimony against today's compromised, apostate, milquetoast, lethargic, and gluttonous church. My intention is not to be critical of churches; but rather, to address the apostasy of our time which has caused the average church to operate more like the occult than a New Testament church. It's time for America's church to cry aloud against the evils of our day, which means that America's pastors must lead the way. A church congregation cannot rise above the spirituality of the pastor. The GREAT NEED of our day isn't Social Security reform, nor an overhaul of the healthcare system, nor new leadership in Washington D.C., nor an economic turnaround; BUT rather, preaching preachers who walk with God, go soulwinning, take a public uncompromising stand against sin, expose the evils of our day, love people unconditionally with the love of God, operate Christian schools, and give the Devil a black eye! The voice of Moses still cries out today against America's neoevangelical, deadbeat, shallow, carnal, and compromised pastors... "LET MY PEOPLE GO!" |
