The One Way We Should Be Like Satan!

By David J. Stewart

Revelation 12:12, “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

The Bible tells us that Satan will become very angry during the Tribulation Period, because his time will be very short. Remember that the Beast, the False Prophet and the Dragon are all going to imprisoned in chains at the bottomless pit for 1,000 years at the end of the Tribulation Period (Revelation 14:11; 20:2).

If Satan is working extra hard because he knows that he only has a short time, then so should we. Tragically, most believers are doing nothing for God, filling 18-inches of pew every Sunday, criticizing those who are fighting the Devil, and sitting-on-the-premises instead of standing-on-the-promises!

The Apostle Paul also realized that our time is short . . .

1st Corinthians 7:29, “But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none.”

Our time on earth is short. The best days of our life are numbered. Health problems will come, if not premature death sooner. Every day gone by is a missed opportunity to witness to lost souls with the saving power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Life is a countdown from the day you are born, a countdown to our DEATH! Every day of life is a step closer to physical death.

Of course, life doesn't truly begin for the Christian believer until death. Hence, I look forward to death as a Christian. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! I eagerly await death, being rid of the body of this death (Romans 7:24). I long for my resurrected body at the Rapture, which will be incorruptible, a glorified body just like the body that our Lord appeared in when He arose from the dead to greet, strengthen and encourage His disciples. A better life awaits the born-again believer in eternity. Why settle for eternity in Hell? Who would want to go to Hell? Yet I see people bragging that they're on a Highway to Hell, and deliberately blaspheming the Holy Sprit to get attention and sell DVD's.

“When the last helper has fainted, the last cure has failed, faith's last leaf has withered and your last friend has faltered, there is a God in Heaven Who answers prayer Who will care for you and provide for your needs.”
