Colossians 2:8 — "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

The world’s science will attempt to teach you that they are ahead of God.  The Bible is so far ahead of man and science.  This is one of the reasons it is forbidden in schools.  For the Bible is the final authority.  The Bible is more than a book of do’s and don’ts.  It is book that was written by God and is far ahead of man.  The Bible is a science book.  Accurate in every way.  The Bible is a history book, accurate in every way.  This lesson will show you how far ahead the Bible is to science and why Paul stated:  “science falsely so called.”

This lesson will also attempt to arm you will information when someone tells you that that Bible was written by men. Not inspired of God. You will be able to take this information and use it to show that the Bible is far ahead of science (man).

Genesis 1:1 — "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

•  God created: denies atheism and evolution
•  God created: this denies the many gods of Hinduism, this puts down the ecumenical movement.
•  Christ is a creationist: Mark 16: 19  For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
•  Moses was a creationist: Deut 4: 32  For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask  from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing  as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

God created the heaven and the earth:  This denies pantheism that God is one with the universe.  This denies the teaching of evolution and theistic-evolution.

This verse has all five elements of science:

• Time: beginning
• Space: heaven
• Motion: created
• Matter: earth
• Energy: God created

Psalm 119:160 — "Thy word is true from the beginning."

God’s word has always been true.

Psalm 14:1 — "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God..."

The Bible states that the atheist is a fool!  For only a fool would look out at the creation and state that it just happened.  Only a fool would state that man just happened to exist.  To look at the complexity that exist in man and think that it was an explosion that caused us to take place, only a fool would deny the existence of God!  Only a fool would believe that man is ahead of God in any aspect of life.  The Bible is a science book.

Even in the very beginning of the Bible we see that the Bible is ahead of science.  For science and the schools teach a lie from hell called evolution.  The big bang theory is taught, theist evolution is taught in many Christian schools.  This is another lie of the devil.  Theistic evolution is this; God created and then evolution took over.  This is trying to play both sides of the fence.  Either you believe God and take Him at His word or you believe the devil!

Bible and Astronomy

Death, burial, and resurrection declared by the heavens

• Psalm 19:1— "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."
• Psalm 50:6 — "And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is  judge himself. Selah."
• Psalm 97:6 — "The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory."

Take a look around and see the heavens.  When the sun sets in the west it dies blood red.  It is then buried and it rises in the east.  This is a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  This is the gospel.  Note also that the heavens give a picture of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  For the Sun rises in the east just as Christ will return from the east.   Zech 14:4  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east,...  Mal 4:2  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

It is the Son that is returning. The Sun of righteousness.

Heathen are without excuse

Sun, Moon, Earth

The moon is a picture of the Christian, and the sun is a picture of the Son.  For the moon does not reflects it’s own light but the light of the sun.  The Christian has no light of their own but reflects the light of the Son.  The moon is between the sun and the earth and at times there is an eclipse and it appears as if you cannot see the sun.  However, it is there.  The Christian is between the Son and the world but at times the world gets in our way and we cannot see the Son.  But He is always there for us.

Job 25:5 — "Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight."

When did science "discover" that the moon did not shine?  Over 2300 years after Job was written.  For years it was taught the moon shined.  However, God stated the moon does not shine.

Sun Rays and the Trinity

The sun rays are made up of three parts.

Romans 1:20 — "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

• Light: Picture of the Son.  You can see the light and the Son has been seen.
• Heat: Picture of the Holy Spirit.  You can feel the heat, just as you can feel the Holy Spirit work in your life.
• Ultraviolet: Picture of the Father.  You can neither see nor feel the ultraviolet rays.  Just as the Father you can neither see nor feel.  But as you have seen the Son you have seen the Father.  This is the same in light. 

Notice how the Godhead is impressed upon the universe:

• Time: Past, Present, Future
• Answers: Yes, No, Maybe
• Electricity: Positive, Negative, Neutral
• Location: Land, Sea, Air
• Music: Harmony, Rhythm, Melody
• Musical note: Pitch, Volume, Duration
• Places: Hell, Earth, Heaven
• Space: Length, Width, Depth
• Offices of believer: Prophet, Priest, King

This is only a short list of the many "three’s" in the universe.

Bible ahead of Atlas!

• In the days of Moses it was taught that the earth was carried around on a great big strong man’s back and when he sneezed this created an earthquake.
• Later as time went on it was taught the earth was carried around on the back of a turtle.
• People also believed that the earth was flat and you could fall off the edge of the earth.

Job 26:7 — "He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and  hangeth the earth upon nothing."

Job wrote this 3500 years ago.

Isaiah 40:22 — "It is  he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in."

Science finally caught up in the 1500’s,  Magellan sailed around the world.  I remember a song I sang as a child in school, “Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492”.  Prior to Magellan and Columbus folks believed that you could fall off the edge of the earth.  If they would have read their Bibles they would have realized that the earth was flat and was held up by nothing.  (We must remember one thing, just as there is a group today that is attempting to keep you from God’s word, there was a group then that did not want the common people to have the word of God.)

It took science a few thousand years to catch up to the Bible.  Yet folks will state the Bible is not a science book.

Bible ahead of NASA!

Genesis 2:7 — "And the LORD God formed man of  the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

In 1982 NASA scientist “discovered” that all the ingredients needed to form a human being can be found in clay.  It took science over three thousand years to catch up.  It does not take a rocket scientist to discover what God told us over three thousand years ago.  In fact, the education of many will get in their way.  I heard this story once and... “Once I was a tadpole when I began to begin, next I was a frog with my tail tucked in.  Then I was a monkey in a banyan tree, and now I am a doctor with a Ph.D.  Tadpole, frog, and monkey man, all glory to nothing for the planless plan.”  Who would get the glory if there was no plan? 

Bacteriology

The Bible taught this over 3500 years ago.

Leviticus 13-15 — "If you were to read these chapters you would find the command that God has given to keep the healthy from the sick."

• God told the Israelites that anyone with leprosy or other communicable diseases they were to be isolated out of the camp away from the other people.  They were to burn their clothes and to burn the saddle he rode on and to kill the animal.
• Yet it was not until two men named Pasteur and Koch “discovered” the science of bacteria through the use of the microscope.  This was in the 1800’s  However, the Bible taught this over 3000 years prior.  Through this discovery they “learned” that to cleanse the skin you must use running water.

Leviticus 15:13 — "And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean."

God commanded to wash the infected skin in running water.  God told the children of Israel to use running water.  Prior to the discovery of “bacteria” the doctors would use a basin of water to wash their hands.  This would transmit the disease from one patient to another. 

Science was over 3,000 years behind.

Horticulture

The Bible has the answer for those that plant and farm.  Certain crops you do not plant next to another for they will take on the characteristics of one or the other.

If you plant citron or squash too near your watermelon then you watermelon will taste like citron.  If you plant your field corn near your sweet corn then your sweet corn will no longer be sweet corn.  Only recently have men truly understood this. (I verified this with different farmers for the accuracy of this, and received a very hearty, yes!)

The Bible taught this years ago.

Leviticus 19:19 — "Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee."

The Israelite were told not to mix material together that was made up of two types.  They could not have a garment that was made of half cotton and half wool.  The reason would be the clothes would pull apart when the shrunk.

Leviticus 25 — "The entire chapter gives detail on giving the land a rest.  Year of Jubilee."

There are many reasons why the land was to be given a rest.  After talking to farmers and reflecting back when I did some garden work, a few things are noted.  First, farmers rotate crops so as not to deplete the soil of minerals.  Second, the land is given a rest to rid it of “pest”.  For example, if your crops are being infested by an insect that would destroy your corn crop and you did not plant corn for one year.  What do you think would happen to the corn “pest”?  It would die off for lack of food.  Thus, there would be no need to use insecticides.  For God commanded the best insecticide around.  To give the land a rest.  I was also told that it takes approximately six years to deplete the soil of it’s minerals.  If that is truly accurate then it explains why God commanded the land to have a rest in the seventh year.

Job 38:22— "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail."

Did you know that according to Dr. Schutt there are over $8 per acre in snow of nitrates, and ammonium?  Did you ever wonder why the grass is “greener” on the east coast rather than the west.  It has nothing to do with the rain.  It is the snow.  The snow gives the minerals the plants need to grow.  Much greater than the rain.  Again, after talking to folks that farm and landscape, they tell me they want it to snow.  I asked why?  Because snow “fills” the water table unlike the rain.  For snow slowly is absorbed into the land and fills the water table for the wells.  However, if it were to rain the same amount as it snows, the rain runs off the land into the streams and rivers.  Never getting to the water tables like snow.

Evaporation and rainfall

In 1630 Galileo discovered what is known as the water cycle.  That the water goes from the streams to the rivers to the oceans then evaporates back up to the skies for the next rain fall.  Solomon taught this very thing over 2500 years ahead of science in Ecclesiastes 1:7

Ecclesiastes 1:7 — "All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is  not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again."

Anesthesia

The use of anesthesia for surgery was suggested by Humphry Davy, a British Chemist.  However, it was not put into use until Horace Wells in 1844 tried it on himself.  He was an American dentist and used it on himself when having a tooth pulled.  In 1842 Dr. Crawford Long, a Georgia doctor used  ether on a patient until they were unconscious.  In 1845, Dr. Long used  ether when delivering a child.  In 1849 he began to publish his results.  However, prior to his publishing his results a dentist, W. T. G. Morton  started to use anesthesia in tooth extractions.  It was not until the 1930’s that medical schools began to have formal training in it’s use. 

Do you know that it took man nearly 6000 years to catch up with God?  You say how?  Do you remember when God put Adam asleep prior to God removing a rib from Adam to make Eve?

Genesis 2:21 — "And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof."

Prior to surgery God knew it best to put Adam asleep and then do the surgery that was needed to create Eve.  Why did it take man nearly 6000 years to figure this out?  Man is not as smart as he thinks he is.  Science can never out think God.

There is an old story of how a few scientist got together after they were successful in cloning a man.  They said. “WE have been able to clone man.  We have made test tube babies.  Why do we need God around any more? Yea, right… lets call Him here and discuss that we don’t need  him anymore.”  They called God and said; “God, we have been successful in cloning man.  WE have been successful in creating a baby in a test tube.  We won’t need you around anymore.”  God said; “Ok, let’s have a contest who can make man faster.”  The scientist said: “Great!”  Then they went over to get some dirt to make man in a test tube and God said: “No wait!  You go make your own dirt!”

Now I know that this story did not happen but it is so true.  Man cannot create as God has been able to do.  He created out of nothing and he created something from something.  He spoke the world into existence then He made Adam from the dust of the ground.  Science continues to try to copy what God has done but cannot.

· God made a man without a woman (ADAM)

· God made a woman without a woman but with a man (EVE from the rib of ADAM).

· God made a man without a man (Christ born of the virgin Mary).

· God makes both men and women out of men and women.

Now man will spend the rest of time trying to match all four of the above!  However, he never will be able to make something from nothing as God did!

Laughter and medicine

Proverb 17:22 — "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

Solomon wrote this over 3000 years ago.  Recently it has been reported by the Mayo clinic that there are “killer cells” that are produced when a person laughs.  They did a study on laughter and determined that these “killer cells” increase during laughter and fight off diseases.  They are reported to have spent 1 Million dollars to have come to this conclusion.  With a dime store Bible they could have come to the same conclusion and saved $999,995.50.

Life is in the Blood

Leviticus 17:11 — "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is  the blood that  maketh an atonement for the soul."

• Blood carries on the life process of the body.
• Blood builds new cells, nourishes the bones, and the skin.
• Blood feeds the organs of your body.
• Blood repairs the body, when damaged, scabs.
• Blood fights diseases.

It was not until the 1900’s when science caught up to the Bible.  A man named Dr. Lister discovered that the blood provides the bodies of the immune system.  In times past a person would go to the Barber Shop not only for a hair cut but for “bleeding”.  The red and white pole outside the barber shop represented the blood and bandage that the “first” surgeons would use.  When a person that was sick they would go to the barber and  get a bleeding by leeches.  They would place leeches on your body to remove the blood.  This they thought would heal a sick person.  Not only would it not heal the person but at times would kill them.  For we know that the “life of the flesh is in the blood.”  George Washington was nearly bled to death using this thought process.  Four times his blood was drained and the last time nearly a quart of blood was removed.

Blood diseases

Did you ever notice all the blood diseases and disorders? Heart problems, problems with the veins, problems with various parts of the body that the blood takes nutrients to?  The blood is the only part of the body that travels the entire body.  It is the only part of the body that not only takes nutrients to the parts of the body but it also takes the garbage out of the body and dumps it into the body parts where the “waste” is to be deposited.  The Blood is no doubt the most important part of the body.

The blood is so important.  Did you ever notice if you get a nose bleed or a cut you cannot get the blood stain out of the clothes.

Yet the blood is used by God to cleanse you.

Colossians 1:14 — "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins."

Exodus 12:13 — "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt."

Exodus 12:23 — "For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you."

The only way for the children of Israel to escape the “tenth” plague was to ensure they had the blood applied.  The only way for a person to escape Hell is to ensure they have the Blood of Jesus Christ applied to them.  How is this done?  By accepting Christ as Saviour.

We read how the Bible is far ahead of man when it comes to science and how in every point it has been correct.  The Bible says we all deserve hell.  Then you better believe it to be correct then when it comes to your salvation?  You must remember this; if you could work your way to heaven by good works, then why did Christ die?

Ephesians 2:8,9 — "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

The Bible says that we are all sinners and all we  deserve is Hell.  Have you ever told a lie?

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." — Revelation 21:8 

The Bible says that there is a penalty for our sin and that penalty is death and hell.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." — Romans 6:23 

"For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment." — 2nd Peter 2:4

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." —  Hebrews 9:27 

Jesus paid the penalty for our sin(s) by dying on the cross.

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." — 2nd Corinthians 5:21 

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:8 

1. Everyone is a sinner!

2. There is a penalty for our sin!

3. Christ paid the penalty!

4. Now what are you going to do about it?

5. Will you admit that you are a sinner and that you cannot get to Heaven by your own works?

6. Receive Christ as your Saviour.

7. Be like the sinner in Luke 18:13 and pray: “God be merciful to me a sinner.”

Pray this prayer: (the prayer does not save you; but your trusting in Christ will save you.)

God, I know that I am a sinner.  I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the cross.  I believe His shed blood, death, burial and resurrection were for me.  I now receive Him as my Saviour.  In Christ name I pray.  Amen.
