Psalms 145:9, “The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”

God is a good God...

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" —Psalm 107:1,2

We read in Psalm 19:1 that "the heavens declare the glory of God..." The Hebrew word for "glory" is "goodness." The heavens declare the GOODNESS of God.  God is a good God. Even if you just lost your job, God is a good God. If things are going well, God is a good God.  If things are all going wrong, God is a good God. Whether or not God is a good God should not be based upon how well we are doing in life. So many people get angry at God because they're not doing as well as their acquaintances and neighbors. God is always a good God.

God has been good to America. In the 6,000 year history of the human civilization, there has never been a more blessed people than those in the world today, particularly the United States. We are blessed beyond comprehension of those who lived centuries ago.

“Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.” —Joshua 23:15

We must thank God "in" everything, not necessarily "for" everything. 1st Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to be thankful "in" everything. Though we may not be thankful for the bad things that happen in life (understandably), we surely should maintain a constant spirit of thankfulness to God that our name is written in heaven and that He loves us no matter what.  God is a Good God, there is no debate. Only the wicked question the goodness of God. We read in Romans 1:21...

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." —Romans 1:21

“When they knew God...” Everyone knew God at one point in their life, or I should say, “became aware of God.” Every young person knows that there is a God. At that early age, a youth is already deciding whether or not they are going to glorify (acknowledge) God in their life. Either they will become thankful at some point to God and acknowledge God in their life, or else they will block out God and go down the road of foolishness and sin. By nature, we all know that God is a Good God (Psalms 19:1). Only sin causes a person to think different. Sin destroys, it robs, and it separates.

Psalms 100:5,  “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

Anyone can agree that God is good when the bills are paid, the roof's not leaking, everyone's healthy and there's food on the table. But it's a true test of a believer's FAITH when the opposite is true. Is God still good when the doctor says it's cancer? Is God still good when a child dies in an accident? Is God still good when there's no food on the table and everything has gone wrong? “YES, YES, YES,” ten thousand times “Yes,” God is a good God! Oh for a thousand tongues someone said, to praise God and say that He is good. But my friend, God is content just to hear your mouth and mine. Let everyone praise the Lord!!!

Don't let anyone tell you differently friend—God is a good God!!!

Psalms 34:8, “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

Ye Must Be Born Again!

You Need HIS Righteousness!
